    Lithium battery maintenance advice needed

My bike came with a tracker fittted from BMW, 2021 Gen 4. it caused nothing but issues, starting problems, random warnings on the dash etc. After running out of patience and the tracker telling me that my bike was in Ghana when it was sat on my driveway, i took the back of the bike apart and...

    Black Widow exhaust headers?

I wouldn't recommend buying such a lovely an expensive bike to then fit a cheap manifold too it. I know the Akra stuff is expensive but it would be well worth saving up the extra money for. My 2p's worth if it matters; the standard exhaust flows well enough and on a 200HP bike, do you need to...

Leather suit alterations in north east of England

Dave the leather man in Bradford. He has helped me out with several suits and gloves over the years and is reasonably priced. He used to do Hein Gerrick's (spelling?) warranty and repair work for years before setting up on his own.

    Conti Race Attack 2

Fantastic tyres with bags of grip however they're bad for flicking stones and debris. Myself and a friend stopped using them due to the damage to the bikes we were getting from the stones they flung, including a stone my bike fired through my friends' GSXR radiator.

It was a hardware fault IIRC Christ on a pushbike! Your insurance is crazy! I'm glad you have managed to get it cheaper this time. Also; I'll echo Alex's comment; I'd disconnect the battery before sending the bike away

At 29 I thought insurance would be reasonable? Can I ask how much you pay? It turned out that there was a fault with my tracker and its since been fixed. I have no issues but will not be renewing the subscription once it expires. I have my bike on an optimate in the garage when the bike isn't...

Who's tracking you when you ride your bike

'Cycling' SUL / UL like that in your car is a waste of time buddy. Pretty much as soon as fill up with UL all the benefits of SUL are gone. You'd be better saving money and getting UL or using SUL all the time if you're trying to maximise the life of your engine.

Who's tracking you when you ride your bike

Slightly off topic but E10 petrol is the start of the government forcing people to scrap their current cars and buy newer ones. Everyone now has to buy V power or posh petrols regardless of their vehicles because ethanol reacts with copper, ergo the precious metals in your cat. Then there's...

Who's tracking you when you ride your bike

Mandatory speed limiters and data loggers will kill the automotive industry. Simple as that. No one buys a sports bike, Lambo, Porsche, M4, S3 etc to do the speed limit. Remapping Companies will find a way to deactivate or remove these devices or people just won't buy new vehicles.

My experience of any sort of aftermarket tracker or alarm system has never been a good one. They've always caused issues. I've had something similar happen with my gen 4 and it's datatool tracker; my battery was going flat in 2 or 3 days. I had calls and several emails from datatool telling me...

    Bike prices

It pays to shop around if you're borrowing money for cars / bikes. My last bike was a 2019 fireblade which was bought on 0% pcp for ?91 PCM. My current 21 s1000rr is a base model with both the seat pod and the pillion pack with the DDC added. That bike was ?15k cash sale including the first...

    Slipping at lean?

Hi, It could be a number of things that's caused what you've described. Tyre pressure, mould release agent on the tyre, tyre temperature, suspension set up (wafting etc) It's unusual for a tyre with a high silica content like the road 5 not to be up to temperature as they warm up quickly by...

    Hello

Hi guys, Thanks. I have been looking through different posts and threads at folks bikes. There's some nice bikes on here, I was surprised to see how many people had fitted a tail tidy though as I thought the standard number plate holder was quite small to begin with. I've got just over 1000...

    Hello

Hi all, Apparently I have to post in here within 14 days or my account gets deleted so here I am. I took delivery of a 21' S1000rr a couple of months a go and have been looking on this forum for general info, modifying ideas etc, so I thought I would join up. I will post a thread about my...
