    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

How many left is always a bit ropey - relies on V5 descriptions, but even ignoring all BMW registered press and demo bikes, they?ve had months of production. Multiply it by 5. By 10. Still looks wrong.

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

howmanyleft.co.uk has the current number of M Sports registered as 5. These are not impressive production figures.

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

Just cancelled my order. I'm not paying 20k for a bike that turns up a year after I ordered it and then it sits in the garage all winter. Someone just moved up a place in the queue, enjoy your bike when it shows up in December/ January. I may look again next year but if BMW are still catching...

Didn't say you did, another poster a dozen or so replies ago said their Feb order was delivered.

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

Whenever NI and Scotland orders were placed, BMW uk said in THE LETTER (itself delayed a month by my dealer) that they were allocating deliveries based on when orders were placed. Except when they feel like it, if you ordered in Feb. If mine doesn't come in the next 3 weeks I have to cancel...

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

I thought BMW were supposed to be fulfilling orders on a date placed basis, country by country. My order was November 2018, the week before NEC. I can see NI and Scotland orders arriving first, maybe, but Feb?

BMW S1000RR Gen 4 - "Long Term Review"

FastBikes also has a long term M Sport now. Nice to see BMW Uk publicity machine working so smoothly, making sure everyone knows how good the bike that you can't buy is.

2 Ms in Scotland - can I ask when you ordered and what kind of notice you had before delivery? Was it always July promised?

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

I've still not had The Letter. I asked the dealer and I've emailed Motorrad Customer Service to tell them my dealer hasn't forwarded it to me but they haven't replied either. I've had better customer service ordering sunglasses online.

Ocotber 31st - a no deal Brexit = +6% tariff on European motorbikes. I had this discussion with my dealer back when it seemed there was a slight chance it wouldn't get delivered before March 31st....

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

Can we have a poll or something to show how many bikes have actually been delivered? THe BMW uk letter said 10 but that was a while ago. I know from my dealer there are at least 3 M sports awaiting delivery, i think mine is the earliest deposit of these 3, in November 2018. Has production...

March delivery? Wow. Starting to think next year wouldn't be that bad. Might have got the build issues fixed by then.

    I have rejected my bike

I would have rejected the bike too. Makes me wonder if the early bikes were rushed out, a bit pre-production.

    Ride height

thanks, I suppose I'll leave it for now then. I could change the ride height on my MV without any stands, this sounds a bit much without a stand.

    Ride height

I got some spare spacers with the bike, guessing they raise it but I don’t have a stand to support the weight. Does it make a real difference to the handling? If not I’ll leave it low. cheers

    Ride height

Hi I just got my HP4 on Friday. It seems slightly lower at the back than my '13 RR was, the handbook says the ride height is adjustable - is this doable by myself? And is the handling affected by the ride height? I'm a short arse but I think even I could go a bit higher if the handling is...

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

I'm not cancelling my order either and I'm not as bothered about delivery as I was before i had another bike but if my dealer is trying to surprise me with an early delivery he's missed the boat after promising Jan, March, June, August and now August - September. I also like to think BMW's...

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

My dealer emailed me today to say my bike is “being built, delivery August September” (nice clarity on a deposit placed in November). I don’t actually care anymore. This information might have been useful in March. It’s worthless information now, I have a ferry booked to Spain and I need a bike...
