Find the standard pegs a little high and as a lanky sod my knees ache after a while. Are you able to lower the pegs with the Gilles to a lower position than the standard pegs?

Really dont know how they can say a part is not fit for purpose in one region and must be swapped out but absolutely fine in another.

Will these be getting swapped out for the hayes units in the form of a recall or is it only the us market getting them changed?

Just noticed my m sport calipers july 2020 bike leaking. To be fair Wollaston BMW collected bike monday morning, checked and ordered x2 calipers, fitted tuesday then delivered back first thing Wednesday morning. Crap for them to fail but cant fault the service from the dealer.

Just to update the thread I had the metzelers swapped over for Bridgestone S22's. The bike has been completely transformed, I'm absolutely made up with how planted and stable it now feels in the slower corners. The metzelers felt so wooden.

I wonder if it did happen then you got a cracked wheel. Would they swap both out for forged.

So I had an interesting chat today with a mate who is a close friend with the guy who owns Global robotics (main sponsor for Smith's BMW race team) Aparently he has been informed by the race team that BMW intend to stop selling m sports with carbon wheels to the uk market and will be replaced...

Coils are pretty easy to check with an oscilloscope and a breakout box onto the ecu. A broken down coil will show up straight away. Used to have to do it all the time working for BMW and Audi car dealers. Very common failure.

Very good point. I noticed the same thing actually when I changed to slicks on my track bike. The profile of the tyre is different. Be interesting to see if people have noticed a difference in characteristics when running a different brand tyre.

Glad it's not just me?. I'm a lanky sod and get my knee down at 40 degrees. But it definitely feels like it gets to a point and then just wants to fall away. Done 1000 miles so I'm sure I will gain confidence and get used to it.

I've recently upgraded my 2018 sport to a brand new m sport, on the whole in very impressed, the speed in which it changes direction is fantastic. Which leads me on to my next question, I've noticed that in slower corners and roundabouts ect I've found when I get to a certain lean angle the bike...

I had the same problem after my 600 mile service. I reset through the app then re-paired to the bike and it's all working again.

You will need a stand that supports the fork bottoms rather than the hole in the triple tree.
