Splitting the Gold Brembos on the Gen 1-3

There is a tiny rubber seal between the two halves, I reused it. Also reused pistons, piston seals etc. And I gave the three bolts locktite. Think I have a picture of them split if you want to see before splitting yourself?

    How to longer swingarm

I think people are just joking because we think it's a shame to ruin the geometry of the bike and mess up the way it handles. Most people on this forum use their bikes for either commute, track racing or weekend twisty road riding, and for any of these purposes it makes no sense to extend the...

    Sprockets

As others have mentioned flat and long is the way to go. Had mine adjusted a guy that does setup for some German endurance teams, and he made it flat+long. And 16/43 gearing. Seems like the safe choice for these bikes :)

    Switchgear DIY?

Yes, that's what I was trying.. Maybe I wasn't clear enough in my first post - but would be nice to find a place to buy the plug that fits directly into the OEM wire harness :)

    Switchgear DIY?

True.. And I'm not that keen on splicing wires just yet. So that's why I was hoping someone knew where to get that plug, so I can make my own that plugs right into the original wire harness :)

    Switchgear DIY?

Like most of you riding track, I've damaged my OEM switchgear and had to replace it a few times. Costly and annoying to say the least. I've been looking at various aftermarket aluminium switchgears that are plug&play, but the cost of them has kept me from buying one yet. Has anyone here done...

    Engine oils

300v on the track RR 7100 on the street RR C/P from another forum where a Motul sales rep writes this: "I recommend 7100 for the street person that does occasional track days because it?s still 100% synthetic and it has ester, so it will handle high temperatures no problem. 7100 has more...

    Brembo or Galespeed brake master

Sry - for Gen3 std. calipers. So something like Brembo RCS 19 or Galespeed VRC 19x19 would be nice.

2016 oil pan leaking. Common issue? Courtesy repair?

You sure of this? Seems like other people have had similar issues w. Gen3. I know the earlier models corroded, but this seems to be due to faulty sealing of the oil pan, not corrosion. https://www.s1000rrforum.com/threads/sump-oil-leak-or-leftover-oil.210793/...

2016 oil pan leaking. Common issue? Courtesy repair?

Have a 2016 track bike that leaks from the oil pan area. It has been a tiny leak in the past, so I didn't bother to do anything about it until now. The leak has become worse. And now that the bike is parked over winter with fairings removed, I see a small "wet" area below the bike on the...

    Fitting Brembo RCS 19

Agree with you about the ABS part. Did exactly the same thing, and worked absolutely fine on my track bike.

    Data logger

Just to follow up on my own post. I now received my SOLO2 DL back from UK. They tested it and found the GPS board to be faulty as I suspected. It has now been replaced and I'm looking very much forward to testing it out in 2021. So for now I'm a happy SOLO2 owner again :)

    Data logger

I have a SOLO2 DL and I agree that when it works it's a great tool. Mine however is currently with AIM for repair/replacement because it messes up completely, and that is annoying to say the least. Have had several ruined sessions, making it harder to compare laptimes and causing a lot of...
