Nice. Yea, doing a 5 dayer on 6th. I've booked the many flights, as there's nothing direct from where I live now(non UK), an lost touch with people, not seen bike since '19 :(

    Jerez didn't disappoint

Hey Scooby, I thought 3 seconds on next visit might be possible, 'didn't want to sound big headed though, sorry you weren't able to go as planned, there's quite a few dates this autumn I'm tempted by . . probably be Almeria though.

    Jerez didn't disappoint

Thank you gents, I appreciate the comments. The fourth day was great, I could go a bit harder into the last section, if I was there tomorrow I'd try to learn corners 2 and 4 better, then nibble a few metres into braking markers, and generally be braver! That is one magic place, what with the...

    Jerez didn't disappoint

For those like me who haven't been before, simply such an impressive venue. I arrived before 7 just as the sun was coming up over the track and grandstands, even highlighting the blue painted Allianz striping on the pit lane. So a good start for memory hotel but it took me the first 3 days to...

2015-17 Front Fork Service 2015 S1000RR DDC Suspension

Re: Fork Oil RyS1000RR I can believe it, I might well just change oil and leave spring/spacer for later. It's not like I'm better than the bike. Funny, I was reminded of all this when I was watching a 'bike world desmodecci' youtube vid, and thought, damn, bet my oil looks like that(BAD) HAha

2015-17 Front Fork Service 2015 S1000RR DDC Suspension

Thanks Gobert, I'll try to figure out what feel I'd like, then get in touch with MCT probably this autumn. Yea, there's little point taking out the fork legs just for new oil, although that would be better than nothing. Cool, thanks.

2015-17 Front Fork Service 2015 S1000RR DDC Suspension

Please tell me how the forks felt after the firmer spring and air gap, I'm going to do the same, take it to MCT, but in the meantime will hopefully just change oil this year. Did you leave the bike at MCT, or can you arrange to have it done whilst you wait, d'you mind giving me an idea of cost too.

Gobert/Alex, how was that, did they feel refreshed a little?

2015-17 Front Fork Service 2015 S1000RR DDC Suspension

Thanks for replies, I think I'm more likely to ask either Pepe or Roger to do it at the track. Bike's done 8000 hard miles, and that fork oil should be changed every 2 years to get the best from it. When I first bought the bike I had BMW dissemble and grease the shock linkage, as from...

2015-17 Front Fork Service 2015 S1000RR DDC Suspension

Hi guys, ideally I'd like to have the front DDC forks/shock serviced, but can't as the bike's in Spain. I was thinking of changing out the fork oil next time I'm at Almeria, has anyone done this, and is it much different to regular USD ones?

    Tyre Warmers - Recommendations Please

Re: Tyre Warmers I also bought a pair of the Diamond digital warmers, they're excellent, you can go hard from the first corner, night and day from my previous 'Uber' ones . . .

    Jerez ?

Agree with Scooby, once you book an extra night(or 2), and bring a partner, the supplements soon out weigh the initial good pricing, but that's not necessarily the reason why I might choose to stay somewhere different. Last time in Mojacar we stayed in a little pensione, and it suited us...

    Jerez ?

Thanks everyone for the info, I've had a change of mind, I think we're going to go independent of FE, and stay at an hotel in town, and hire a car. By the time FE charge me the supplements it will work out the same money wise, and that way we'll have a better opportunity to see Jerez. If you...

    Performance Bikes Mag

Haha, that's funny, I remember you dropping the bike, it was cool 'cause you didn't seem too stressed about it . . respect. Do you remember, it was something like 32c that day, and I believe it was the hottest day of 2015. Dunlop used to pay for the day didn't they, I quite like Rockingham...

    Performance Bikes Mag

I finally bought a subscription in '15 when I got my new RR, I agree, the articles on the bike were good, informative, and detailed, and many! I preferred Matt Wildee's stewardship of the magazine, he left for MCN about 3 years ago and I found Chris Newbiggins editing a bit ladish, and a...

    Jerez ?

Thanks Scooby, 'appreciate the low down. Yea, I might reconsider hiring a car, as part of the reason for Jerez was to see somewhere different in Spain, and of course it's a beautiful town. I agree, I'll start in 2 and learn the track, man I'm now really looking forward to it, I think it's a...
