Were you not tempted to buy a complete trackbike from Alpha? Given that you buy most of the bits anyway, this had got to be more cost effective?
When I had my vbox, it was easy to simply gaffer tape it to another riders seat until to capture their data. The BMW doesn;t make that an option. I'm more than happy with the trade off in data captured though!
I tend to stick someone a little faster than me out on my bike, and use that data to see what they're doing different? Not that its always better, but it can clearly show where they are faster and give you something to work on...
So just to close this out in case anyone has similar in future, unplugging sensor 1 cleared the code. Super.
Then a track day at Snett brought the engine management light on again, and the bike was ever so hesitant to pull in lower gears. GS911 deployed, and it was complaining about the missing...

got an engine light on, gs911 says knock sensor 1, circuit a, short circuit to ground. Recalibrating doesn?t work, everything still runs fine. Is it a case of replacing the sensor, if so how much of a pain in the arse is it?
