I've done a few trackdays on S21s, I would say that wear looks fine, I've usually ridden home after and the tyres (apart from right at the edge) have looked fine by the time I've got there, tyres have gone on to do 4000 miles or so.

White Alpinestars Tech 1 - R leather race suit, as per my Avatar, in excellent condition, only worn for a couple of trackdays last year, , Ive lost some weight so they are too big for me now, no scuffs, rips or tears, even the knee sliders are unused. ?300 pm me for pictures/info.

I run S21's all year round (including a few trackdays in inter group) with no issues, I wouldnt go out in the snow and Ice with them but other than that I find they work in all conditions.

Update. I managed to remove the broken bolt and get the casing back on and torqued down but now I have a slight oil weep from the joint, does anybody know if BMW use some sort of joint compound? Any other suggestions? Thanks

Hi Gents, thanks for your help, I called in at Allan Jefferies this morning and bought some new bolts, the parts man who sold me them used to be a mechanic, he said there were no surprises when removing the casing so i should be ok.

It looks like Im going to have to remove the casing to get at the snapped bolt, is there anything I need to watch out for when I do?
