Agree on the HP2 values, my ?09 Sport is worth way more than the 14k I paid for it 11 years ago. Was surprised by the values of HP4?s, I trashed my ?13 Carbon when it was 3 years old & the insurance paid out just shy of 17k.

I had the DDC fail on my '13 HP4C & the forks were rock hard, naybe 3/4" deflection! Fkin dangerous really cos it would just 'happen' & then you tip in to corner & the front just scrubs & pushes. Had it back to Wollaston a couple of time before they could sort it. Pretty sure fault came back...

I loved my HP4 Carbon, I binned it last Feb & I thought I'd never find another bike to replace it as my daily. Then I bought a '16 model S1000RR with every HP part on it (actually a Tyco rep) & I can honestly say I prefer it to the HP4. More midrange, slightly sharper front end, I'm happy😜

I think any disc lock is a good deterrent. My only decent bit of advice is to get one of those neon coloured coiled reminders to attach to your bars, so you don't forget you were smart enough to fit a disc lock............

Any 'hunting' at idle or part throttle at any rpm is a clear indication of an excessively lean condition. Sort it if you notice it, you'll be glad of the fatter & smoother power delivery, not to mention saving your motor . If you're really unlucky you risk a burnt exhaust valve or seat, at...
