    Lazy Painter ?

As I said I Love the BM BUT am not blind to issues the bike may have. I've still got a R1 which I purchased new in 1999 and I can honestly say that I think the build quality is as good if not better than the Beemer apart from that it can't COMPETE! i'll put up with a few niggles as soon as I...

    Lazy Painter ?

As much as I love the rr the build quality is poor. The paint is very thin and any small scratch goes through to the black plastic. I purchased a rear seat cowl and the fit is crap, (this has been mentioned by others) I recall that in some bike mag they mentioned the wheels were made in China...

    The dreaded insurance renewal!

I'm currently with MCE but will hunt round when its time for renewal. All insurance companies treat new customers better than current ones. I did notice that MCE advertised in Motor Cycle News track day insurance for £100 , but must admit haven't looked into the small print , there's bound to be...

I did end up purchasing seat cowl as can be seen on photo , am not best pleased with fit. Other manufacturer's can make the cover fit flush! >:( And its not exactly cheap :-\

Yamaha YZF R1 is the way forward :-)

When was the last time the Yam came top of group test ? Only way they can shift them is to wake up and reduce the price! You are just like any Chelsea fan "Dreaming of when you were the best but deep down now know you are well of the pace" :'( :'(

yellow is the one to have ?

I agree that the yellow bike looks good but I would say that ;) Have today fitted MRA tinted Double Bubble screen and Motographix Sticker kit (bike less yellow now) And took bike out this afternoon for the first time this year. Roll on summer!!!!

    Aftermarket screens

Unionjack The MRA Screen stops short at bottom so leaves air intake unobstructed. The bike must look different , better or worse? Got photos of bike now? ???

    would you?

Not tempted for several reasons:- 1) Only got current bike end July last year and as am "Fair weather rider" only put 1500 miles on her. 2) New bike looks same. I know its got those little wings and you have new colour options ??? 3) Old bike is better than I'll ever be. 4) Cost of changing is...
