    Insurance

I was insured with Carole Nash for years. When I got my S1000RR I automatically went with them. The premium was over?600. I added stuff to the bike, as you do and when it came to renewal time they wouldn?t insure me/it due to the fact that I had fitted too much stuff to the bike and ?computer...

    gen 3 factory suspension settings

That?s correct Oli, preload wound all the way off on the rear also. I could never understand why they came this way from the factory. I complained bitterly about the lack of adjustment (for me) as I?m only light. Perhaps that?s why BMW paid for me to have lighter springs fitted by MTC.

    Headlight Lens Meltdown!

My headlamp melted while using the original bulbs! I?d been running the engine in my garage for 10 minutes or so when I noticed what I thought was condensation in the centre of the large headlamp lens. Running my finger over this ?condensation? showed that the lens had crazed and bubbled up...

Looks like you had quite a journey too my friend. Thanks for the encouragement though. I?ll just keep plodding on with my exercises and seeing my physio. Mine should improve if I work at it. Time will tell!

    Having a new knee

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. Back home now and already back in the old routine, with shopping to do. I shall have to give my knee the exercise it needs before my shopping I guess.

Fitting an Evotech Tail Tidy Gen 1-3

I don?t remember cutting any wires on my gen 3. Nor did I crimp or solder any connections. I wonder if they?ve changed things since I fitted mine? It was a few years ago now though! Personally. I?d ring Evotech and speak to Garry,,,,,, Top man, he should know.

    Standard front caliper piston size

+1. If you dismantle the callipers and clean out the corrosion from the seal grooves, that should sort it.

    Sky Discovery +

A few years ago my Sky box failed. I contacted them to let them know and they told me that would have to pay for a new one. Can?t remember the price bit I think they wanted ?300 or so? Anyway my son told me to get back to Sky and tell them a sob story and ask them to take out all the Sky stuff...
