    Workshop 2020

Re: Winter Workshop Good stuff indeed Stuart! There is another product out there called Q bond. Does exactly the same. I highlighted this a couple of years ago on here after I?d repaired a couple of fairing panels for friends. I?ve done a few more since then, again with perfect results. It?s...

    New Bike - Triumph Bonneville

Yes guys. Paying the price now though, sitting in Spire waiting room to see my knee surgeon to see if he can get my right knee to bend a little more, to enable me to ride the S 1000. When a Gold Star kicked back, you certainly knew about it. Hence the need for the ignition advance and retard...

    New Bike - Triumph Bonneville

Good video that, though I have seen it before on the TV. Good shot of the lad in the chequered helmet firing up his BSA Gold Star with a good hearty kick and setting advance and retard! Ahh, memories..........

    2003 Gixxer 750

All interesting stuff Stuart???? Just a thought about the black greasy stuff you mentioned on the coils! The rubber sections on the bottom of the coils are there to keep muck and water out. They can stick sometimes, making the coils VERY difficult to remove. Not sure they?re like that on the...

    Having a new knee

Thanks Stuart👍 I put that in because I’ve lost count of the times I’ve heard “ you don’t know what pain is ‘till you’ve had a baby “ 😀

    Having a new knee

Well chaps, following on from my total knee replacement some five months ago, I thought it was about time to give an update on how things are going for me. As reported in my first post the procedure went as planned though I suffered some pain, which was to be expected. What I didn't expect was...

    Having a new knee

I did too at one point but couldn’t quite do it when push came to shove. What I did do in the end, was to buy myself a Yamaha MT01. Not to be confused with the MT10. It was a big V twin of just under 1700 cc. I loved it. Good for about 140 mph, 5,500 rpm. And it looked like a motor bike on...

    Having a new knee

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I’ll go steady with the physio. Not a lot of options there to be honest as the pain really limits the amount of physio I can do at the moment. Just tried sitting on my Yamaha FZ1 and can’t get my foot on the rest on that one either. It’s going to be a slow...

    Having a new knee

Just a quick follow up of my knee op! Admitted 6.30 am on Monday. Surgery successfully carried out between 11.00 am and 2.30 ish on the same day. Nor to sure of the time as I was very groggy afterwards 😕 Quite a lot of pain afterwards, until they got the pain killers sorted. Tuesday physio. That...

Hi from a New Forest newbie

Hi again Rednine. Sorry for the delay in my reply. You could say I’ve been rather busy of late. Well they’ve done it and I’m back home pushing on with my physio therapy. The pain from this leg has to be experienced to be believed. To say it stings a bit is very much an understatement. It would...

    Having a new knee

Thanks again guys. All done and dusted now. Down to me now to make sure it’ll bend enough to be able to continue riding sports bikes🏍😊

    Having a new knee

Very good that Stuart. As I’m about to go into surgery I think to save any embarrassment to me and the surgical team I shall refrain from watching that clip until I come out of the anaesthetic in the privacy of my bed when the lights are off and everyone’s asleep 🛌😀
