I've got stahlbus oil drain valves on all my bikes, even the little Ohvales. Make oil changes quicker and cleaner. I do change oil every 3-4 days on track however...
shock out and off to MCT for a service. Wheels and bodywork off for good clean, change oil, brake fluid and air filter. Lube suspension pivots. Repair front potentiometer. Thinks thats all really; kinda run out of bits to fit...
Mine went into limp mode yesterday, on the way back from noise testing and again heading out on track. Had four throttle position errors, cleared them and re-calibrated the throttle and all seemed ok. Is this a known issue?
Thanks for that, looks brilliant.
Were you not tempted to buy a complete trackbike from Alpha? Given that you buy most of the bits anyway, this had got to be more cost effective?
When I had my vbox, it was easy to simply gaffer tape it to another riders seat until to capture their data. The BMW doesn;t make that an option. I'm more than happy with the trade off in data captured though!
I tend to stick someone a little faster than me out on my bike, and use that data to see what they're doing different? Not that its always better, but it can clearly show where they are faster and give you something to work on...
So just to close this out in case anyone has similar in future, unplugging sensor 1 cleared the code. Super.
Then a track day at Snett brought the engine management light on again, and the bike was ever so hesitant to pull in lower gears. GS911 deployed, and it was complaining about the missing...
Morning,
got an engine light on, gs911 says knock sensor 1, circuit a, short circuit to ground. Recalibrating doesn?t work, everything still runs fine. Is it a case of replacing the sensor, if so how much of a pain in the arse is it?
