    Anyone from the Leeds area?

Yes, you can still meet up to 6 people in open public spaces. Covid only bothers when its more than 6 and the open space belongs to you or a friend/relative.

    UK roads

For me it really is a better weapon for the UK roads than the s1000rr. I have enjoyed the road miles so much more since getting it, I was finding the rr hard work after 30-40 minutes.

    UK roads

Not so sure it is a managed decline, more like a totally incompetent failure to run even a bath. Thing about places like germny and france is they are vastly greater areas so the density of traffic over their roads is much reduced compared to here. Less wear and tear.

    Brexit Euro days.

I think the ferry is around 30 hours crossing time on top of that, but overall it works out not too far off the road trip because of the overnight stop, tunnel, service/food stops.

    Brexit Euro days.

I have done this trip via boat and on the roads and the difference in time and/or money is negligible. Sitting on french motorways is horrendously tedious but in these covid times, a better option than a boat. 1400 miles each way is 2800 miles. At your 30mpg thats 93 gallons. A gallon is 4.5...

Low mileage vs Age.... What's the tradeoff?

Bmw used to run colours for one year across a number of their ranges, essentially to keep sales ticking over, the blue and the acid green spring to mind as the standout interesting ones.

    GB Racing Covers

The covers should come with their own bolts to replace the stretch bolts.

GS has a normal battery. Lithium would be a waste of time as weight saving is pointless lol.

    Holy Huggers Batman!

The hole in the hugger is designed to be there should the rear compress to a point whereby the abs unit housing needs clearance. Years ago I spoke to a ilmberger distributor about this and they had tried racheting down the rear of a bike to try and force contact without success, so in reality...

    Gen 4 M-Sport

From the blurb about the bmw parts (not fitted by Sam76) but essentially the same as the rizoma he has fitted it sounds like they are not crash protection but are road rash protection. Not sure how its possible to achieve a lean angle sufficient to get the case protectors in contact with the...

Yes, not wishing to cause offence, it was tongue in cheek.

    Gen 4 M-Sport

Wind protection lol? Much as I love a bit of rizoma those look to be about as effective as a chocolate teapot.
