    Torx size/LH switchgear

Left hand switch gear seems loose on my 22 bike too. How is the T10 screw accessed?

    Tank pad.

Thanks, do you know if the 3M PPF is clear and gloss finish? In pics on ebay it looks a bit cloudy.

    Tank pad.

Turns out the Eazi-Grip is a bit narrow for my 6 pack :smile-new:, and moving around is marking the tank either side of it. So I'm thinking of using something like 3M or helicopter tape to extend the width. Anyone used either of those?

    Fuel gauge

Thanks, but there was an issue with the menu not scrolling past the 'trip' setting. Tapping more firmly on the switch made it pass trip, and it scrolls through all the other settings fine. But it's still a bit sticky on trip. Time will tell if it gets better, or the switch packs up. Or maybe...

    Fuel gauge

The top line is sticking on trip, I gave the menu button several prods on the top, and it then cycled through correctly until it got to trip and stuck again. New switchgear incoming I think.

    Fuel gauge

Just rechecked, and menu up sets the trip to zero, nothing else. Fuel range is in the settings.

    Fuel gauge

Default dash mode, press menu button up, nothing happens. Tried holding menu button up, still nothing.

Got this now, was showing the bars and countdown. Filled up and now they've gone, looked in the menu but can't see an obvious way to reinstate the fuel bars and countdown?

Proposers responsibility to ensure exhaust is road legal for road use.

My understanding is, that if an insurance policy is invalidated, the insurer will still pay third party claims, in other words claims against you. What the insurer can then do is to seek to recover their costs from you. If those costs are substantial, you could lose your house.

I didn't post that, because all the noisy exhaust chavs would have started crying.

    Thinking of buying a 2023

I wouldn't expect too much from the standard forks fitted to the M model. The manually adjusted marzocchis fitted to the base 1299 were rubbish. And I think the only way to sort them out was with new uprated guts, or ideally fit Ohlins.

    Full akra system

As long as people aren't riding past my house, revving the tits off their noisy bikes, I couldn't care less what exhausts they fit. In the past I've had full Akra systems on my bikes, but I knew using exhausts with 'not for road use' stamped on them, wasn't exactly legal.

Do BMW supply new road bikes fitted with Akrapovic exhausts, that don't have catalytic converters fitted Alex?

Sycamore Motorrad, where I bought my new bike from, told me about the pictures.

    Thinking of buying a 2023

Did assume that. Seems a bit cheapo, compared to the Ducati Ohlins versions.

    Thinking of buying a 2023

I haven't looked into it, so there's probably a simple explanation. So why does only one fork leg have an electrical connection. Unlike my 1299S that had one on each leg.

No bike is going to be all things to all men. You're above average height and weight compared to most riders. So as you know need, a specialist to sort out your springs and damping. When I started riding Japanese bikes years ago, people complained they were built for midgets. Now the seat height...

Good for you. This year, the dealer told me that in the event of a large warranty claim, BMW will ask for pictures of both sides the bike. If your engine went pop, would you leave a full system on your bike for the pictures. And do you think the dealer would mislead BMW on your behalf?
