What previous bikes did you have?

Does nicking them count or does the V5 need to be in your name :tennis:?

I would make exactly the same points as Oli above and I'm 5'9. This is why I've ruled out an R

    June 2023 Santander - Pyrenees - Nice - Roscoff - 2000 miles in 10 days - notes for o

Looks great. I love touring on my RR. I've just returned from riding to south of Portugal and back on my Gen 4. I must do a right up before I forget most of it!

    Wanted Gen 1 rear shock

Watching this with interest. Did you get a price? Looking at the K tech website they list different weight springs. Anyone know if these will slot straight into existing gen 4/5 forks using original internals or do you need to buy the matching cartridges?

    Thinking of buying a 2023

Ha, it wasn't how much I had left that bothers me, it was more how little I'm using. I'm really not getting good value for money for the bottom half of the fork stanchion. An extra 20mm of travel in the real world would make a huge difference. So in a perfect world, after each ride, I'd...

    Thinking of buying a 2023

On my '19 the road modes are fixed for the DDC. You get what you've been given. You need to switch to the Pro Modes before you can make any changes to the damping.

    Thinking of buying a 2023

Out of interest, how much of the fork leg is left sticking out of the bottom of the fork stanchion when fully compressed? The shiny bit. This is mine after 3000 plus miles touring along quite bumpy roads and breaking into steep down hill hairpins. Am I only using half the available travel...

    Carbon Rims

I had the same concerns. If you watch a tyre fitter (bike specific) he won't touch the rim with any tools. It's all done by leverage on the actual tyre. As Scrooby says, it's no different. The one thing I have noticed is the internal area of the carbon rim is very very rough. My tyre fitter...

    Everyday bike??

I have one bike, a Gen 4, and use it for everything. I too am considering a switch to something else and have tried a couple of other bikes. I can?t get away with a naked bike. I end up feeling like a sail in the wind. Must be my size (short). So far the RR ticks more boxes all round. It's...
