    Wheres my tool kit?

It?s small and wrapped in a black fabric roll bag, and usually the length of a screwdriver and only an inch or two in diameter, usually wedged down one side under the rear, maybe it?s slid down a little. If still stuck later I can take a pic of mine when I get back so you know what you are...

What did you get in the post today?

Will try to document a write up when I get a moment but it?s war and peace. The chain snapped... I was lucky and the wheel wasn?t locked and we stayed on in very busy traffic... there is a post here somewhere I?ll find later and link, but the chain made a real mess on its way out. Dealer had...

What did you get in the post today?

As per one of my previous posts, not exactly ?in the post today?.... but finally, after nearly SEVEN months warranty work, and nearly every part of the bike replaced including frame, loom, engine and swingarm.... I have it back!! (although the can is damaged). Excited doesn?t quite cover it...

    Still using it

Still riding my loan RR through thick and thin.... but it?s getting slippy out there and temperatures are dropping fast now some days! I might be getting my own RR back this weekend after nearly 7 months and given the weather forecast it won?t be going out until it?s had a good ACFing. Stay safe...

    Radar detectors

I guess it depends on whether you can get them comfy inside your lid, and whether they seal the ear and give you some noise protection at the same time.... if not there are plenty of companies that do ?custom moulded to your ear? bluetooth speakers. I?ve seen some threads on here with...

    Radar detectors

I swapped my old intercom which worked on the interrupt method. The problem with this was that by the time the audio interrupt (to whatever I was listening to) had happened on the intercom the alert had often taken place on the phone meaning I missed it. I swapped my intercom for a SENA 20s Evo...

    Radar detectors

I should add I?ve tried dash based warnings and the problem is when you are ?travelling at national limits? you tend to be looking ahead and not at your dash (or should be). I used to miss the warning lights. Audio warnings through an intercom is the way forward.

    Radar detectors

CamerAlert can be configured to open Waze and I run both in the background with my intercom. Has access to the published databases including mobile camera vans. Given the nature of mobile camera vans you do get some false positives when they aren?t there which can be annoying but rather that...

I hope Ducati warranty is more stress free than BMW... in 2 weeks it?ll be six months without mine so far!

New 2019 BMW S1000RR: Rumour, Gossip and Intrigue...

Some of the reviews I read of the tech recently on the GS were that actually you couldn?t really tell, just a bit more power and... it worked. Have to see what it?s like on the more aggressive RR thou...

New 2019 BMW S1000RR: Rumour, Gossip and Intrigue...

Yep and crucially ?the Shiftcam system responds to the position of the throttle. An actuator and shift gate moves the intake cam sideways and engages a different profile. Lower amounts of right-wrist action will use the less aggressive profile with reduced lift, where as giving it the beans will...

Bus Lanes usage - petition online.

I?m one of the unlucky ones who got nabbed in a bus lane, but one of the lucky ones who managed to get it reversed due to unclear signage around motorcycles! Lol. Probably spoilt it for the next guy though when they fixed the signs.... :(

    Alpinestars supertech R boots.

I have a question on boots, I?ve tried many of the above today (loved the supertech but a bit of a faff, and Dainese ?in? but haven?t got the leathers for that) and also some of the more road bias boots given that I spend more time there than track. Still undecided but have a question on...

    Clean chain

Having had a chain snap recently, scaring the **** out of me and causing mahoosive damage, what I can say is clean/lube, clean/lube, and clean/lube again. Chain maintenance will always be top of my list of things to do forever now, not that I wasn?t pretty meticulous anyway!
