Upgrading Brembo calipers on ?18 would mess up the ABS?

dont see why it be any different than any other bike running ABS. the systems (as far i know) as all basically the same, unless the 18 bike montors flow/volume rate at the ABS pump, but i find that hard to see. however, if you are changing calipers, then you do need a suitable m/c (different...

    Carbon Rims

i get that quite a lot onmy marcheni wheels quite a lot (i've changed my onw tyres for 20 yr)as they have an anti slip finish on the inside of the rim, bit of extra hairspry usually does the trick (dont use tyre soap either any more)

    K46 2011 S1000RR Best Seamless Clutchless Up/Downshift System

tbh they are all changable ( if your going for a full blipper set up), kill time+pressure. you just need to get it dialled in to how you prefer. on the gen3 i prefer the lohmann (alpha shifter) to the HM, but thats more a personal preference, if you hav the RCK2/race ECU then you can dial in the...

    VDS problem

i'd assume so yes, i've never cracked 1 open so not sure how they work, old school would be a mercury switch, but suspect things have moved on from that since.... they are easy to ge to (relativley) so might be an idea to find someione with same yr bike (gen1 at least) and swap them over to see...

    VDS problem

it may need clearing from the fault log, try disconneting the battery for a 20 minutes to see if that clears it

    VDS problem

pretty sure the gen1 bikes vds sensor looks just like the red slick plug (not the later larger things with 2 mounting holes) and mounts, upright just to the right side of the tank. make sure it's not fallen out of it's holder, as it just clips in, same as the slick plug pretty much

    Knock sensor error light

the sesnor is easy, getting to it not so much (they are under the throttle bodies, either side of the thermostat) . i've always either remioved them, or unplugged them in the past without any issues (no faults etc).

    New Throttle grip required -

it's very hard to remove the grip as it's bonded (throttle side) to the tube, i just used a razor blade to trim down the grip, being carfull not to cut into the throttle tube, then sanded to get as smooth as poss before fitting renthal grips. are you hoping to retain the heated grips?

    Won't start - 7 year storage

does sound more like immob or kill switch sticking. try a bit of wd40 on the kill switch and giving it few on/offs. also go through fuses to check them, but doubt it's that
