    never had to touch mine in 7 years and 45000 miles (I do check it from time to time) and mine runs very hot unless you are doing 70 mph when the airflow keeps it well below 80 degrees, runs up to well over 100 if you are at town speeds, fan comes on but temp light never has

    I find rosso corsa 2 are fine in the wet and cold, although bike is usually off the road in winter (december to end of feb), been fine on early morning sub 10 degree runs and torrential rain (not at the same time)

    I use the road compound sbs pads, no problem for me on track days, last about 10000 miles and cost around ?60 for all 8 i seem to remember

    Worth trying to get a test ride froma yam dealer, I rode my mates SP and didn't like the power delivery, he loves it but still has his 11 plate R1 for quick days, another mate has a basic one and whilst it doesn't acclerate has hard as the rr, he was still faster than me round brands hatch! oh...

    i'm pleased with the gilles too, had them on a couple of years now and about 20,000 miles. nice rest for the wrists, not that the standard was bad. you will need the banjo, but it's an easy bleed at the top as not much fluid comes out when you swap. spacers for the fairing help the clearance...

    Great weather today...

    Just short of 200 yesterday morning, down to Goodwood, and Bury hill, sarnie at the Chalet and then catch up with mate in Brighton and back via Ashdown forest, nice little run for 4 of us, was considering Finchingfield but leave that for another day. 7.30 meet back home for lunch.
