    Tyre wear front and back

Here are a few of the rear, as you can see there is at least 2 or 3 mm more tread than the front and they have worn evenly.

    Tyre wear front and back

Here are a couple of pics of the front. I haven't got a decent camera like Loupe (or his balls by the look of his tyres) so i dont know how well they show up. Hopefully you can see that the front has worn down to the tyre indicator on one side only of the indicator on both the left and right of...

    Michelin pilot road 4's

If you do go down the route of the Michelin Pilot 4's you do not need the GT version. this stands for Grande Touring and is meant for heavier sports tourers like i had on my old VFR1200F.

    Tyre wear front and back

I have had both Supercorsa tyres from new which came on the bike. The tyre pressures are front 2.5 bar (36 psi) and rear 2.9 bar (42) as per the manual. The front tyre is worn down to the indicator marks and the rear tyre has about 3mm left and I've done 3000 miles. The indicator mark on the...

    Tyre wear front and back

Please can someone explain about tyre wear. I have just worn my front tyre to the tread wear marks so I presume that's about 1mm, however the rear still has nearly 3mm. As I am changing brands I know it is best practice to change both which I'm going to do. I always thought the rear would wear...

    Best road only tyres

After a 200 mile ride out in the rain today my original tyres need replacing from the Supercorsas that came with the bike. I won't be using them on track so I'm looking for the best for road use only, which will also handle much better in the wet than my current ones. I am not a progressive...

    Wobbly Side Stand 15RR

You could always replace the side stand with the carbon one Fullsix sell, reassuringly nice and expensive.

    BMW Insured Warrenty?

Bahnstormer are an excellent dealership and I have used both their branches and always found the customer service first class. They are relatively close to the big Vines of Guildford so healthy competition means they are very helpful with good mechanics. I have never heard anything bad reported...

White Tyre Lettering - FOR or AGAINST?

The wheel rim tape looks really good but undecided on the lettering. I suppose you could keep it on for awhile to see if you like it or not and if you don't it shouldn't be too hard to blacken out. It's always good to try different things out on our bikes, it's what makes us love them even more.

    warrior spider adaptor plate

I've got the 1Jac as well. It took a couple of hours tweaking it to eventually get both wheels off the ground and parallel, but once I achieved this it works perfectly every time. It was a lot easier to use once I binned the safety pin. It's really easy to put together but a real pain to get it...

    Trackers

The others on the market are just a cheaper and less effective alternative in my opinion. "Bike Trac combines GPS, GSM, GPRS, RF and movement technology to record and relay (in real time) itsposition to the Bike Trac central servers at pre-defined intervals". Is a SIM card etc going to give that...

    Trackers

If you log into your account on Road Angel there is a specific option to turn on and off this option. Click on the Launch Tracking screen circle, click on the circle showing where your bike is currently located. Then click the edit details. Within this screen there is a box to tick or untick...

    Ventura luggage

This shows you can add another bag if you need extra storage, and also the bags sitting clear of the rear cowl. The two bags zip together and are held on nice and secure. There is also a picture of a smaller bag. The bags are rock solid when making progress and also dont effect the ability to...

    Ventura luggage

This is with the luggage fitted. It sits in a pouch on the back of the back and then attaches underneath with a couple of clicks. I went for Ventura over Kriega as it takes only a few seconds to put on and take off the bike. Also the bags dont touch the seat cowl at the rear so no additional...

    Ventura luggage

This is the rack you swap to when touring. I carry the sports rack in the luggage and put that on when i get to my destination. It can be fitted facing forwards or to the rear.

    Ventura luggage

This is the Ventura luggage rack fitted with what they call the Sports rack. I have left it permanently on the bike as it took about an hour or so to fit. I suppose you could take it off and add it when you need it. However i have found the sports rack is quite handy as it gives you something to...
