Gen 3 fairings - how much is it worth?

Fairings I said that about my K67? and then ended up buying an M. Keep the OEM fairings as you will get more selling the bike as standard than you would do as a track bike as the market is saturated with BMWs.

    Alex's 2023 Gen 5

Model Years Welcome to the frustration that is swapping between the K46 and K67! Nothing is compatible! It?s not quite so bad between the K67 and K66 though.

    Alex's 2023 Gen 5

alpha Racing Shift Assist Fantastic bit of kit. Make sure that you have 90? angles when fitting, clear the adaptions and recalibrate. After that your good to go.

    M1000RR 2022 Carbon Wheels

The carbon and forged rear wheels are different on the M1000RR and are not compatible with the S1000RR.

    Professional Suspension Set Up Companies

K-Tech Suspension K-Tech do not make a DDS Pro shock for the M1000RR. The only shock available is the more expensive TRDS-R version. As for the OEM suspension that comes fitted as standard on the M? it?s absolutely rubbish.

Brake Lines Do it properly and fit new brake lines.

    Brembo front calipers

ABS Delete As far as I can remember on the Gen 3 you need to blank the ABS pump and completely remove all the OEM lines. You then need to order new front lines from calipers to master cylinder and a separate rear brake line to rear master cylinder. To cover the ABS pump you will need one of...

    Front Head Stand

The pin I have on my Gee-Tech stand for my K67 is 15.7mm.

    Rear tyre size

Rear Tyre Size From experience 190/60, 200/55, 200/60 and 200/65 rear tyre sizes all work on the K67 without issue and have no impact on DTC.

    Front Head Stand

Removing the plastic shroud is easy. The issue will be if they?ve left the ABS brake line union in the same place as the outgoing model. If they have it completely blocks the hole in the lower yoke that you need to access to fit the stand pin in.

    Engine sliders vs covers

Engine Sliders vs Covers From experience engine case sliders are absolutely rubbish in the event of a crash. Buy full covers.

    Gen3 to Gen4 - What to avoid!

I?ve had zero issues with my Gen 4 and it?s a far better bike than my old Gen 3. If you buy one from a dealership (especially an early version) it will likely have had all the recall work done so you won?t have any issues. Later K67s are pretty much sorted. If buying privately just insist on...

    Thinking of buying a 2023

At present no one (K-Tech et al) offers springs for the K67. The options are to either stick with the DDC or swap out with a aftermarket cartridge kit and rear shock (+DDC delete module).
