Service intervals are the same, but scope of work is different (and more expensive). Having owned both, the MRR’s engine spins up noticeably faster than the SRR. I would go so far as saying that both are pointless on the road. The M definitely so.

2023-2024 M1000RR 2025- M1000RR

It would be a shame if they have dropped the carbon fibre fairings as they do make the bike a bit special. That said most of the M1000RRs go straight to the race teams so it all goes in the parts bin. At last count there were only 9 sold to regular customers in the UK according to my BMW dealer.

The white version looks pretty good as well.

Same utterly rubbish stock suspension as well, but that’s designed to be cheap and gets swapped out as well.

Revised aero and that’s about it. Looks like it could be easily retrofitted to the existing M as well. Swingarm looks identical - fairly irrelevant as the SBK Teams all fit Suter items. The press pack will confirm all the details when it’s released in a couple of hours. New decals look good...

Radiator guards are absolutely essential on both the S1000RR and M1000RR. From experience the BMW ones are useless and there are plenty of better alternatives available.

I’m sure all will be revealed next month at EICMA. That is unless BMW decide to wait until Intermot in December.

From what I’ve heard directly from BMW and the World SBK Team is that the 2025 S1000RR will have a revised exhaust to meet Euro 6 regulations and some colour changes. The 2025 M1000RR will have a revised aero package, the front wings are changing slightly, and some internal changes to the engine...

I had a Akrapovic full system fitted on my previous K67 and now on my K66. For UK trackdays just leave the baffle in and forget about it. You have nearly 200 bhp available and you won’t notice any real difference unless your a BSB racer.

I use Thermal Technology Dual Zone tyre warmers and they are brilliant. Temperature is adjustable which is useful when swapping between Wet, Intermediate and Slick tyres as the heating recommendations change depending on which tyre brand and type that you are using.

Try contacting Eazi-Grip as they make pre-cut kits for most bikes/fairings. Studio81 Auto Detailing (near PHR Performance) may also be able to help and are very good.

The scope of the standard servicing is very different on the M. Mainly because the engine internals, piston rings, and gearbox are all completely different. The rod bearings also need to be changed on the major service. If you buy a M1000RR and assume running it is going to be like a standard...
