    Carbon2race / carbon parts

I've got a mixture of Ilmberger, Full Six and also Jap4performance, some of which are next to each other. I haven't got a trained eye but really can't see any difference from the three except in price. You could save a small fortune if you bought all Full Six carbon parts compared to the...

    BMW alarm make

Maybe the Thatcham element is not such a big deal in Germany or elsewhere but BMW's failure to get it approved by Thatcham means every rider in the UK is likely paying a higher insurance premium for what is already an expensive bike to insure. Luckily I am a member of the IAM and got their...

    BMW alarm make

It's time to renew my insurance and I am having difficulties with choosing the alarm on the comparison sites. Only one of the major sites has BMW factory fitted alarm and immobiliser listed. All the others have every alarm ever made but nothing for BMW. If I enter unknown alarm and immobiliser...

    Chain!

What does the pitch refer to when talking about chains, excuse my ignorance. Can you replace the OEM chain with any of those suggested here without changing the sprockets?

Brand New BMW S1000rr - fitted with Akrapovic HP can from BMW dealer

I've got a full titanium Akra system and I had fitted the Rapid Bike Evo as an alternative to a PCV. The fuelling has been spot on across the full Rev range, especially low down when going through towns and 30 limits.

    Very impressed

It's nice to see a dealer giving that little bit extra and valuing your business. I have used them before and always had great service. My last visit to BMW was Vines in Guildford and I will never return as they treat customers like your in a sausage factory. The video is a nice touch. Thanks...

    Broken Fairing tabs

I did exactly the same thing on the right side panel as well. I asked my mechanic who is ex BMW and therefore not biased to spending extra, and he said it would have to be a new panel if I wanted it fixed. I have left it now for 9 months, been quite fast at times and done 6000 miles and the...

    Lean angles

If you go to the set up menu and scroll to equipment you can scroll to bank display on or off. This means the lean angle. If you turn this to on it will then give you the choice of fast, mid or slow. This works regardless of the slick plug. Page 104 of the manual if you need to refer to it.

    Crash protection

Glad you are ok Loupe and have such a positive attitude to the crash. I came off on a small roundabout on the road a couple of years ago and it knocked my confidence for six as I couldn't work out why or how I hit the tarmac. After that I spent the next six months looking down at and worrying...

    High Screen for 2015/16

I've got the BMW high screen and it is spot on for my riding position, albeit expensive. There also wasn't a huge amount of choice when I bought the bike. I had a Zero Gravity sports touring screen on my previous bike and they are really well made and I like the way they offer a wide range of...

    Laquered for screens

You could explore the Gtechniq range of C1 and C2 or their crystal serum. I'm not sure if it will be suitable for the screen but I know it's used on lights etc.

98dB track day experience at Donington

I've now got a full Akra system so am I wasting my time in booking a track day. My local track is Castle Coombe which I failed last year with just an Akra end can. I don't want to spend money and a day's travelling and a hotel just to get turned away again.

    Buzzing!

I've got the bar ends from Gixxer as well and have never had any vibration issues since. They are beautifully crafted and I know a lot of time went into perfecting them before offering them up for sale on here.

    S1000RR Tyco Replica

I think that just comes down to personal preference as one position will be ok but not for another of the same height and build. Just play around and find what's best for you.

AC Schnitzer straight bar / top yolk kit.

That's good news and let's hope they extend your riding comfort. Did you find out the difference between them and the AC Schnitzer or did you just go for them. I presume you got them from Bykebitz as they are the UK importer. I had to wait a couple of weeks when they first came out but they must...

    Lean angles display....

Comparing lean angles is like public school boys comparing willies!!! I'm only a 32 man so I think my nickname would have been peewee. I'm doing a knee down course with i2i training soon and they you can call me chopper.

AC Schnitzer straight bar / top yolk kit.

Yes Helibars are now specific for the 2015 model. You are quite correct about problems with the early ones brought out. To start with Helibars just adapted the 2014 model and added wider bar ends. These received a dreadful reception in the USA. They redesigned them and now they are a proper fit...

AC Schnitzer straight bar / top yolk kit.

I would find out what the measurement change is compared to the Helibars before I forked out that much money on them as these seem considerably more money. I've got the Helibars and I love them. I would also speak to your/ a back specialist. I too suffer from lower back pain in L3 &4 but I find...
