Just checked the manual and it just states 5w-40 not sure why they don?t give a normal temperature range, maybe they are trying to push ?you have to use this grade oil? or you will die a slow horrible death.

It?s viscosity with the W being the cold viscosity. There is a temperature range that oils will work and work well, in the manual it should have this temperature and the viscosity of oils that will work within that range.

it will allow you to test certain things, see if they are getting power etc. chances are there is something stopping it from getting power, like the immobiliser or something within the safety circuit.
