pillion pegs / exhaust hanger help

Hi, Welcome to the forum. I'm assuming you tried asking the person who sold you the bike to see if they have the stock exhaust, pillion seat and pillion pegs? The stock exhaust bolts to the pillion peg as a support. Otherwise I'd suggest well known online auction site - I see that you have...

    Rotor Bolts

Be careful, the disks/rotors experience significant heat cycles and with the threadlock the bolts might be tough to start to undo them. Ensure you have cleaned the bolt heads and that the tool you use has crisp edges. Keep everything straight and consider using a breaker bar to extend the torque...

    Electrical issues

Look on eBay for a "Torx T25 "L" shape key" and tape it to the underside of the pillion seat hump - they are ?2.95 each inc delivery. My Gen 3 standard pillion seat has one attached beneath. Alternatively for touring I carry a Bahco SL25 1/4" tool kit which has sockets from 4-13mm, Torx, screw...

South and East of London Meets

Good to have met you Felix, Brian, Jeff and Colin, really enjoyed myself and glad everyone made it home safe and sound. I think I only covered about 100 miles, it felt much further. Good banter, great riding, I really liked the approach and climb up on to the South Downs passing the Porsche...

    Hello from portugal

Welcome to the forum, Portimao circuit is on my bucket list and Lisbon is an absolutely gorgeous city. I really liked how chilled everyone was and how cosmopolitan the city appeared when we travelled around on public transport and walked everywhere, people we met were always friendly and going...

    Quick Blast

Stuart, I have that same SC can on my Gen 3, I absolutely love it, but yes it is loud. Check out YouTube, someone has bound to have put together a compilation of different slip-on cans on your MV for you to listen to. Did you not inherit the stock triple exhaust when you bought the bike as an...

    Gen3 rear spindle torque anyone?

Swapped my nut for a shiny Titanium Nut from Pro-Bolt - Not going to get into an argument with BBB about 100Nm or not, it's his own decision. Incidentally my Triumph Daytona 955i with a Single Sided Swing Arm wheel nut factory setting is 140Nm.... needs a tiny, tiny smidgen of Cu grease...

FREE 2021 MotoGP Fantasy Racing League for the S1000RR forum - Race Ya!

I really enjoyed this weekend's racing. I love the fact that the bikes are so much closer together in all classes and most of all that the front tyre compound in MotoGP has changed sufficiently that there were so few crashes in the opening laps, especially at this circuit when compared to...

    Lever Guard Recommendations

I have a similar problem of my own making on my Gen 3 - I have previously fitted an Evotech bar weights to my bars and can't remove them. I can take the bar weights off but the collet and bolt inserted inside the bars won't come out - gentle taps with hammers etc doesn't separate anything and I...

I have a 2006 Daytona 955i which was my second ever bike. I love the howl that it makes as a triple with a Trident under seat double pipe exhaust which...
