Got my Race Pro suit today. Was a little nervous that something went wrong with the measurements (this is 2020 after all), but I shouldn't have worried. Fits perfect. Now I just need some nice weather so I can try them out on the bike.

Managed to cover 460 miles before putting the bike in for its service on Friday. I'm still re-learning how to ride a sportsbike after a 4 year break, but I'm getting there.

I picked up a puncture whilst out on Thursday. Less than 400 miles covered (at the time) on my new bike - needed a to order a new tyre which I got fitted on Friday during the first service

Got a Honda NC700SA for second bike. Good for a hack and shopping with the storage compartment where the fuel tank would normally be.

Already have it booked in for this coming Friday. Giving myself a week to get the run-in period done :)

That would be ok BBB if I wasn't told it would be at the dealer last week and should be ready for collection by the Friday. And no one can get a reply from BMW logistics to get an update

My bike still hasn't arrived at the dealer and I have no more information on where it is or when I can expect it. Not the experience I was expecting

Apparently it's now schedule to be delivered to the dealer this Thursday - over a week late with no comment as to why

Supposed to be picking new bike up tomorrow, but dealer still hasn't received it despite it being in the system as due today. :( Can't really moan at the dealer as it's not their fault, BMW told them the due date. Just hoping they get it in the morning so I can still pick it up.

UsernameKate recently did a video on her YouTube channel walking through the dash and all the settings. Give it a watch and it should help take away some of the trepidation

Is it just me, or does the BMW have the nicest looking dash? I know that's not the be all and end all, but that's what we as riders spend the most time looking at. The R1's is just awful

Good price for the carbon version, I've seen Gen3s for close to this. Sales manager at Bahnstormer in Maidenhead was looking at selling his. Not sure about pricing and think it's non-carbon

Done an online quote for a new gen 4 back in May and now that I'm getting close to picking up the bike the price has doubled (multibike). I can save about ?100 by splitting between different insurers, but then I have to do double the work every year for very little in return.

Price update: the original quote didn't include shipping and the dreaded taxes. Brings it up to ~?1500 in all; still cheaper than Dainese (which starts at ?2k for the custom suit without being able to choose your own colour scheme)
