If you're buying one second hand, check to see if the brakes and fork seals aren't weeping. Bit of an issue on the early bikes and some were recalled for remedial work. I recommend getting a taller than standard screen; BMW seem to think we're all 4' tall. There's also 3 seat height options...

Have you seen Dave Moss' recent video on the F3 review? 1/4 turn made a lot of difference on the rebound which surprised me. Thought it would take a lot more adjustment to make any noticeable change

Think the brakes was more a branding thing than a cost thing. BMW wanted to stick their name on the calliper. Customers would have paid the extra premium if we could have got Brembos.

I don't normally watch his videos, but something came up on a recent 650ib build. Steering damper was leaking. https://youtu.be/Tw_To2nI5F8 Was cleaning my bike at the weekend and all is good. But add it to the callipers and fork seals.
