Page 79 of the owners manual has the details. Requires going to the My Vehicle screen and from there you can reset the various counters.

    Used car market

World-wide chip shortage is having a massive impact on supply of new cars, computers, etc. Then again, that doesn't explain why bicycles with no electronics are also in short supply

    Datatool Tracker, M sport. Concern

I had Biketrac on my Gen3. Didn't get any notification when the bike was stolen. Bike's position hadn't updated since the last time I rode it and it was still showing as being out on the ride (rode it on the Saturday, bike was stolen on a Wednesday). So far, no issues with the Datatool on the...

    BMW panniers

That's some trek for getting the work done. I used to have a mechanic next door to my work office - it was great riding in to drop the bike off and all I had to do was walk across the car park. Still take my Honda NC there as the place is still local, but the BMW will have all the work done in...

    Factory fitted options/insurance?

Yes, you need to let the insurance company know of any factory fitted options

    dodgy clutch

I've never had an issue with the clutch on the Gen4. My one feels normal and goes into neutral pretty well - much better than my NC700 does.

    Tracker False Alarms

If it's the Datatool Stealth, then yes you can set up ring fencing. But that'll only be good at home, not for the petrol station. You shouldn't be getting alerts just because somebody sneezed within the same postcode.

    Rearsets

I've got the BMW HP rearsets and they can be set lower than standard

    tyres for S1000 RR

The problem with tyres is their use/feel is as unique as you are as a rider and bike combination. What works for you might not work for someone else. I've tried the same tyre spec on two different bikes in the past (think they were Battlax B10s, but can't remember). Worked brilliant on a 2002...

Gen 1-3 Pillion Seat with HP footpegs

Well I opted for the pillion seat and standard pegs with the bike and brought the seal cowl separately. But the dealer was unable to get the standard pegs so chucked in the HP ones for no extra charge. No idea how much they were on their own as I hadn't gone looking. Kenno has them as of this...

    Petrol consumption Gen4

My bike doesn't need a new cylinder head

    Petrol consumption Gen4

Haven't done a lot of miles yet, but so far MPG is comparable to my Gen3 for the short time I had that

Gen 1-3 Pillion Seat with HP footpegs

Aye. Those pegs are exquisite. I ended up having to swap out the standard footrests to the HP ones as I was getting an inferiority complex lol

Greetings Pete. I was thinking that name sounded familiar before reading further on with your intro. Young Mr Whitham is always singing your praises on Eurosport

Gen 1-3 Pillion Seat with HP footpegs

Well I originally was expecting to get the standard pegs with the bike. But the dealership couldn't get them in time so supplied the HP pegs for no extra charge.

    Throttle/Exhaust Acoustics

I know you can turn them off in the Race Pro modes.
