    Riding at 75% ?

Even 75% is still fast on the road. Any post-2004 litre bike is quick, but as long as you're still finding it comfortable riding I don't see a need to swap. At least the RR has some weather protection with the fairing.

Bit harsh Pauly. Just because you have a different opinion doesn't make mine less valid

I like the titanium silver. And glad they cleaned up the wing line under the nose. Current one makes it look like an afterthought with the wings.

    Winter plans?

For best results, leave the paint cans in a bucket of warm water before using them. Helps with the consistency

    Winter plans?

If we get some nice weather before the salt arrives, I might get the S1 out. Otherwise I have my Honda for when the weather goes nasty. Though if I don't need to go out, I won't. Done enough riding in the rain for commuting.

    Couldn't stay away.

Tried rain mode. Rough doesn't even cover it. I was worried that the little 300 I borrowed was going to get lost in one of the potholes

Personally, I've not had any seat problems (M, Low) But the state of British roads..... oh boy

    2025 S1000RR

Well if the new R is anything to go by, there won't be any major revision https://www.visordown.com/news/new-bmw-s1000-r-looks-streetfighter-v4

    New lid.

Mixed feelings about pinlocks. Using one with a sportsbike I've found the edge to be in the middle of my eyeline unless I lifted the visor which makes using one moot. Worked well with other bikes

    2025 S1000RR

It's been 6 years since the last major revision. I don't expect there to be many more with the whole cessation of ICE most governments are requiring within the next 5 - 10 years. Companies aren't going to invest into a dead end.

    Chain sag

BMW dealer will set it to 45-50mm. Think it's based on the swingarm movement, so it'll be too tight in places with how you set it

    Barnstormer Maidenhead closing next week

When he briefly spoke on it, he did not sound like the happiest person in the world over it (putting it mildly)

    Barnstormer Maidenhead closing next week

Moved away from the area, but this is where I got my current S1K from. Haven't been to their Alton site. Staff at Maidenhead were always helpful, hope they're able to find new jobs quickly.

    SJParker's Blue Fire S1000RR Gen 2

The Gen4 looks pretty sweet in blue. I was at Bahnstormer getting my bike serviced when the James May bike was brought in

    Small luggage for day rides

I have one of these too. Fit my lock under the seat and most of everything else can go in here. Can even squeeze a can of drink in, though I recommend being careful when opening it.

Help to describe issue with full throttle upshift on quick shifter

It's almost like you're noob shifting without a quickshifter

    Security devices

I don't have one, but I think Bennett's BikeSocial YouTube channel have done a video on it. Could use that as an idea for sizing
