Re: Winter Workshop Are they telling you why it's taking so long to get? Just as well it's not riding season

Re: Winter Workshop I love my raft of a van. Been lost last couple of weeks since the test ran out. Got a modern car to use on the drive, but it's the van that I use most of the time

Re: Winter Workshop It's a 95 vr6. Spur of the moment eBay purchase in the summer. Need a little bit of tidying up, will probably sell it on at the end of the summer to get a project mini or capri

Have you been a good boy this year?

Santa delivered mine a week or 2 ago. Nice fancy multi process welder to potter with in the shed

Re: Winter Workshop Just my daily driver. Bought it 10 years ago when I still had a crosser. It's had a lot of abuse, and still going strong at 140k miles. Gets a wash once a year and gets the rubbish picked out from under the seats around mot time, along with a yearly oil and filter change...

Re: Winter Workshop My winter projects are on everything, apart from the BMW. Spent last week getting my van sorted for mot, new jacking points fabricated and welded, stripped and cleaned and pump, repaired small exhaust leak and replaced handbrake cables and a brake line. Stuck it in for test...

Re: Winter Workshop We just use red diesel in our parts washer at work, works a treat. I think red at the pump is about 70p a litre.

Hah, not me your honour. No mention that the polis were chasing that Zafira. They must of been fairly shifting to bounce off a lamppost, knock down a dry stone ****, before landing on that house.

    Motorcycle cleaner

I thought the sdoc gel spray was great, but then I read warning that it can damage anodised finishings. Shame, because it is a great cleaning product. I now use my car products snow foam, shampoo and wax, and elbow grease. And some wd40 to remove and chain gunk.

    Decal application

As the other lads have said, I'd wet the panel with some water, with a tiny amount of baby shampoo in it.

New 2019 BMW S1000RR: Rumour, Gossip and Intrigue...

That sounds very similar my mates experience. He bought a gsxr last year, it kept getting out of hand. Then he had a bad tank slapper at over the ton. Al within the first month of having the bike. Turns out there were a lot of owners complaining about this, but Suzuki UK wouldn't accept there...

    Insurance Renewal

i found it easier and cheaper to have a stand alone policy for the S1k, and then insure the other bikes on a multi bike policy. I have an SP1 and a Guzzi T3, both insured together on a classic policy. Had the SP on a classic policy since it was 10 year old!

    Ethanol 18RR

I think the ignition timing would need to be adjusted to get any gain. My understanding is it would allow you to run more advance, without any pre ignition. It will prematurely damage any rubber in the fuel system
