    Re: End can

Is it 65mm? If so there’s always a way. Even if it’s slightly under or over it’s easy to get it stretched or shrunk. J

    Re: Handle bar risers

I love my Gilles. Very adjustable. I raised mine 80mm at the bar ends. Ride my bike all day pretty much. Good on track also.

Re: Le Mans 24hr Race (Contains Spoilers)

Yep, typical last corner crash. The team manager was happy that the new software was intelligent enough to work out he's in the gravel trap without having to turn off TC. J

Le Mans 24hr Race (Contains Spoilers)

Hopefully everyone's seen the 24hr race from Le Mans. It's good to see BMW coming 3rd in the 24hr race. :joyous:

My two pennies worth, I get minimum of 150 miles a tank riding hard. But it has been reflashed by someone we can't talk about. :grief:

  11. Re: Changing rotational direction on stock Metzeler K3

Thinking about it, slicks do so little mileage that I doubt the carcass would go, compared to road tyres that cover way, way more mileage and are subject to all the pot holes etc.
  12. Re: Changing rotational direction on stock Metzeler K3

You should be able to find out the info from the manufacturers website. I know the Metzeler TD slicks have a belt that is one piece ie no join so it can be swapped in direction.

    The important...

Re: track advice - gearing......and brakes

I’ve actually got M50 calipers on my bike so all my bikes share the same pad. Yes 870RST’s would fit Gen1,2,3 std calipers. J

Yep if set to DR ON, the clocks will show your damping settings whilst you're riding and allow you to go through the Rebound and Comp settings for Rear and Reb/Comp for front if you push the 'set'...

Re: track advice - gearing......and brakes

Shows that the pad is softer than the disc. Speaking of discs.... I've stopped using Brembo's. Just one French Trip i.e a week and 2500 miles on the 5.5 race discs and there's so much play front to...

    Re: Tyre compound joint visible.

The crazy thing is, if the belt wasn't showing, it would still probably pass the 75% 1mm tread depth rule. ;)

Stuart, yep it’s hard to find out how much steel is still used. The manufacturers just quote steel belt. Hey, if they’re round and black, it’s all good.

    Re: Tyre compound joint visible.

Checked loads of manufacturers and Michelin are the only ones not using steel but that explains the cost and they are considerably lighter and being spinning and I sprung mass it is an advantage. ?
