Yes the fault code engine light stays on until reset, can be done with GS911 Hexcode OBD2 tool. I have one found it quite useful.

I use an oil heater during winter kept on low heat when i'm not in the garage and turn up for when i am in the garage, works well, keeps the bikes dry and is comfortably warm.
