    Look smart. Does the fabric look like it would trap dust easily? My underground carpark is quite a dusty environment so I'd want a fabric that dust is going to come off easily.

    In all likelyhood the guard still hits the other vehicle first as it sticks out further. You're more likely to come off because the bars get turned than you stopping and being flung off in a high...

    Paint and use a clear film to protect...it was probably caused by stones to start with.

    It does look like the original black is underneath and so it's paint on paint and that black finish is 'odd'...
