    Re: Alternative Quick shifter

Btw, the stock shifter connection (the splined connector at the top) needs to be horizontal for easiest actuation. Riding bananamans with it set out of horizontal it made the shifts much harder.

Have a look at individual training with Nemomoto, Mike Spike Edwards, Dean Ellison, Motovudu, Notsofast to name a few.

Many will tell you that real jumps in riding ability come from 121 tuition....

Rearsets and motorcycle parts are over priced. Hope the parts are decent and not brittle (can take a knock).

Welcome, sorry missed the post yesterday.
Granite Grey's for the win :) How leggy is leggy, mine just passed 10k and even though that's ~2500/y it is a major psychological milestone for buyers.

Yeah I wanted to get the whole calipers ultrasonic cleaned. No biggy, not desperate, I just know HM split them previously when the DLC pistons were fitted.

Splitting the Gold Brembos on the Gen 1-3

Can anyone tell me if there is a seal between the 2 halves which needs replacing if I get the caliper split for cleaning?

Also are the bolts single use/stretch? Want to get a full refurb before...

Re: Is this excessive rotor bolt free play

They are semi float not full float on the oem discs. They should move very slightly. One being more mobile than another isn't an issue. They only move to allow heat expansion.

    Re: Bike goes right side

Taking off the standard can usually rectifies it. My Gen3 doesn't veer when on track. You have something out of line or are not sitting straight.

I don't think it would be a case of failure ever. Only one of reduced performance, and as I said that could solely be down to a factor like wet weather riding rather than carcass...

IDK the colour, but, how about covering it with a GB Racing cover? Will protect it from future spills then too.

Re: New member and new s1000RR

Per page 72/73 of the manual it should have stopped with the giant yellow banner, but if it didn't you can clear it by flicking the jog wheel left after about 5 seconds (when the X turns blue).

Out of interest what do you mean by they didn't like the heat? Did you change the pressures? Did you use the Metzeler recommended pressures?
