Re: Best gearing for street races

-1 +2 will never get to 299, if that really is the goal. 17/45 (stock) is the shortest gearing for a true 299. You probably want 17/44 to be safer, because sustained max RPM & high load = engine...

Welcome to the forum. The 2017 was the Euro 4 model with improved electronics as well as more emmissions regulation. The generator is bigger, so it's better at charging devices on the go.

Sticky: Re: What have you bought for the gen4?

The PZ can be finicky. Make sure it's got clear view of satellites. Even your body can get in the way.
I remember Baz ended up with his mounted on the tail as it would never closer to the yoke.

I thought his perception of where the Dunlop's fit in the market was odd. They should be SC/K3 competitors according to Dunlop.

Use gearingcommander.com to work out the right gearing for your application...no matter how juvenile.

I don't think you need to tell them about the Performance Pack...

But I would mention the slipon etc as these are items they wouldn't be replaced in the event of a crash or theft by default.

Gen3 is fully wound off on preload at the front from the factory...it's basically pointless unless you're over 100kg's fully kitted.
Springs are in the 10.25-10.5Nm region.
