    BMW QS problems

HM shifter plugs into the injectors directly in between BMW loom and injectors and plugs into both top and bottom banks of injectors (all 8). That is why it is so good!! If you have a power commander you have 3 lots of looms/connectors all plugging in series into the injectors - very clever but...

    Traction Control

It was 100% the bikes fault in my opinion. How do I know this? I have tried every geometry and electronic setup on the BMW flat out no holes barred on track. Running the S1000RR on track with that geometry (with the forks so far through the yokes) causes massive tank slappers, general...

CALLING ALL RACERS - MICHELIN POWER CUP NEEDS YOU!

Stubby brake lever is a bad idea especially racing at Donington! Hello arm pump. Keep the standard lever or get some folding long levers from Metaltech/Marchesini/Harris performance. GPR damper is the best addition to the beemer. Transformed it for me :) If you change the gearing 16/44 works...

    Suspension Specialist

Ahh you mean rider sag... You want 24-26mm front static sag and about 14mm rear static sag (no rider!) as starting point. I've set a few up when instructing and in the main have to pretty much max out the rebound and add a few clicks of compression on the front for track use. Shock seems pretty...

Warming tyres, how do you do it?

Yep. Gets a tad more releasing agent off although 1 corner each side is usually enough... unless running the hoops they use in Moto GP.

    Track Fairing

Very easy. Seat unit comes with a seperate support that bolts onto the standard mounting points and the seat unit bolts to that on 3 zuus fastners. Top fairing mounts to standard fairing bracket mounts and side mounts. Belly pan just needs a small bracket made up to mount at the back under...

    Track Fairing

Best fairings for the BMW by a mile are www.Profibre.co.uk. Rich at Profibre supplies Buildbase (factory team!) and most BMW riders in the BSB paddock. These bolt straight on with no modifications needed at all. Quality is second to none :)

    Steering damper

The 2012 damper is good and doesn't really need changing. The previous model damper is nigh on useless (especially on track). A decent damper (which the Bitubo is) should increase stability mid corner and not unsettle the bike at all. I run a GPR and wouldn't use anything else on any bike...

    Moto GP Tyres

Moto GP tyres.... seem to be pretty good at lobbing riders off on out laps....

Good luck at Donny. The stock suspenders aren't too bad especially at Donington where you don't want a proper hard front setup. Had a tear up on a recent BMW event at Silverstone with Baz Burrel, James Haydon and Tommy B who were all on totally stock road bikes and they were ripping!!

Hi Rich. The highs have been all that mental power every time I get on the gas!!. Too many lows this year to mention unfortunately but I'm still determined to push on next weekend at Brands GP. Looking forward to more highs to come with some luck! Seb
