White Fluid Seeping from my Back Wheel

Regarding cleaning my bikes, first is a hose down with cold water to wash any lose particles. Then a proper hot soapy wash with a proper detergent for bikes. Then rinse. Then i would clean the wheels (carbon fibre)with a very soft cloth. I certainly would not wiping wheels with any paper towel...

    S1000RR Gen 4 Delivery Thread

Regarding fitting the motografix tank pad. Best tip is, make sure the bike is upright. I know that seems obvious but the amount of people i have seen with squint pads due to not having a paddock stand. I start with the lowest part, lining it up with the seat line. Good eyesight.

    Low Seat Option

I bought the low seat. Im 5'6" and found the bike taller than my gen 3. There is very little difference between standard (medium) and low but its just enough to give me the extra mm i was needing. Thats my take on it anyway. Im sure i was ?260 for it so will be selling off my standard one to...

    Rear Hugger Removal

Yes you can do it with exhaust still on but you will most likely need a right angle screwdriver as its a tight space for even a stubby screwdriver. The exhaust removal is 1 nut & bolt removal and 1 bolt to slacken. Very easy.

    Rear Hugger Removal

All of the above. The screw/well nuts are nylon. Easy chewed. I replaced the one behind the exhaust with stainles alan cap and lock nut if i remember correctly. Give the nylon screws a squirt of wd40 before you remove them.

    Gen 4 Insurance

Just renewed my Ducati V4 insurance, went with AA this time. £142 fully comp, protected no claims. Only £9 dearer than MCE so i went with AA.

    Jap4 carbon

My hugger on my M Sport is Jap 4, very nice. I also just fitted Jap 4 frame protectors to my mates gen 3. Good fit and looks really well.

    Brentuned Gen 4's

I was out on mine for the first time today, 12c in Scotland, who wouldve thought. Anyhow, i had a gen 3 and now the M Sport. World of difference. The first things that i noticed, lightness, grunt from minimal revs and the brakes were very progressive. I was very impressed and i have a Ducati...

    Removing the rear hugger

a very good fitting screw diver. some wd40 to penetrate the nylon screw from the rivet/captive part. the hugger and chain guard are seperate but clip together. there is one torx screw, cant remember size, if you screw up the head of the nylon screw you can snip it off with side cutters and get...

    Removing the rear hugger

No, but its easier. There is a fastener behind the silencer. Beware, they use some sill cross head plastic/nylon rivet type screw. Very easy chewed up. i replaced 2 of them with stainless allen capped bolts.

On another mirror subject, do the mirrors fold. I'm not at home to check my bike? I got it at xmas time and have not used it yet.
