Welcome!
I use my HP4 -13 on track only and love it. Just got home from the track after 3 days of riding. I am an amature but did -6 seconds vs last year on my K6 track bike.
Did my first race last week. Started last in the A-group after the qualify.
Start was shit (first start ever on a track) but I did not finish last and I had a lot of fun:
I was told that you also can use 15/50 in track bikes.
I know alot of people doing that without any issues. I am too.... 300V.
But to be honest, I dont know, I just do what the people around me tell me to do :redface-new:
And I also found out that the TC really works. I ride in slick mode and +-0.
It was extremly hot this weekend, 55? in the tarmac. As you can see in the video there is an extremly tight +90? left before start/finish line after the long right.
I was a bit too trigger happy and went hard on the...
I want to buy a HP4 -13 link pipe. I guess its the same on all models.
BMW or HP4, both goes.
Please send PM or post a reply here. I live in Sweden but the cost from UK to SE is cheap.
Thanks!
Sounds smart.
Trying to find one second hand but it is very hard.
Price in Sweden is basically close to 500€ which is a bit to much currently (smarter to spend it on track days).
Let me know if you find one cheaper.
Thanks for the info. Mine actually has a really nice curve so maybe I should just enjoy it and save some money.
It just hurts to see it with that fat cat there..... ;)
Did you remap it? Was it necessary? My friend bought one and he got the exact same HP with a remap, he didnt notice any difference. But he is not using full throttle ever I think :playful:
I have a HP4 with the cat still attached to the bike.
I just did a run on a track and was reaching 97db redline in second gear.
I searched online but cannot find any dyno readings etc with and without the cat.
Maybe you guys can help?
My bike is mapped and using a PCV with the cat installed...
I talked to my friend yesterday and he told me that it could work, but BMW did not recommend it....
However I got info from my local workshop that handles BMW race bikes that there is a Rapidbike solution that works, but its very expensive. His guess was 1100?-ish. Plus work.
Thanks alex!
Yes, its from a small track called Geller?sen:
Its small and tricky. Perfect for 600. Didnt like it with my Suzuki because it was to heavy to steer.
But after 1 day I did -1 sec and second day -2 with the HP4. So now I like it again :)
Next week I will go to historical ground...
