Bike For Sale Immaculate Low Mileage 2015 S1000RR with Loads Of Brand New Spares

I am still looking to sell my bike and parts but have reviewed the options as the bike has attracted interest but buyers for the bike don't want the spares. I want to move on and so will let the bike and spares go as a job lot for £10K, which is my absolute bottom price and would be an absolute...

Bike For Sale Immaculate Low Mileage 2015 S1000RR with Loads Of Brand New Spares

I am now 64 years old and have 3 bikes, two of which I use very little and so it is time to part company with my S1K. I bought my 2015 S1000RR brand new in 2015 and it has just under 6000 miles of comparatively gentle use, indeed I don't think I've ever taken it above 8000 rpm and that was...

Preload, Sag and EAS DDC Sport setup 2018 - an easier How to guide for us beginners

preynol1 - I fully understand. No need to google it. Negative Spring Displacemet and Rider Sag are NOT the same thing - I won't define them yet again as the definition of both has been documented above - several times. Suffice it to say, Rider Sag and static sag are adjustable by changing...

Preload, Sag and EAS DDC Sport setup 2018 - an easier How to guide for us beginners

Re: Sag RyS1000RR - I agree. All we need is a measurement for Rider Sag and it can be dialled straight in. The problem is, the manual for the 2015 gives no such reading, just a value for Negative Spring Displacement which is unadjustable and doesn't change with preload.

Preload, Sag and EAS DDC Sport setup 2018 - an easier How to guide for us beginners

Hi preynol1, thanks for your reply. Please accept my apology if my post caused offence - it was unintended as I was just attempting to point out where your information was incorrect. Thanks very much for the page from your manual and it does help at least explain some, if not all of the...

Preload, Sag and EAS DDC Sport setup 2018 - an easier How to guide for us beginners

preynol1 - thanks for your response. I think it would be useful to have as many riders comment as possible and thereby thrash this out so that we could all understand. That said, I regret to say that you have indeed added to the confusion as a number of your comments are quite incorrect. I will...

    Changing tyres

Hi . . . I made a video of changing the front tyre on my Tiger and balancing the wheel. As it was the first time I had done the job, I got into something of a pickle trying to break the bead and also strapping the tyre up into the wheel well when removing it but I have since learned from my...

    Changing tyres

I change my own bike tyres. I buy my tyres from black circles then fit and balance them myself. I made a sturdy wheel support out of wood, covered in carpet to protect the wheels and I use this to support the wheel while breaking the bead and then remove the tyre using professional tyre paste...

    water leak

My 2015 developed a bout of incontinence at only 800 miles due to a single stone chip hit on the rad. Wind blowing through the rad spread coolant rear wards and onto my left foot - worth having a careful look at the rad for impact damage

    Hello from Lincolnshire

Hi . . . I bought my 2015 new in May 2015 and with 2500 miles to date, I ride it sparingly. Reason it sees so little use is because I also have a 2008 Triumph Tiger 1050 and . . . a car!! Also, the bike spent a year off the road with a holed radiator at only 800 miles. Of this year, 6 months...

Preload, Sag and EAS DDC Sport setup 2018 - an easier How to guide for us beginners

Alex87 is asking the right questions. I'm afraid this post is somewhat misleading but understandably so because the manual is BS on this subject. increasing or decreasing spring preload does not make the suspension stiffer or softer as spring rates are unchanged. All you are doing by increasing...

2017 DDC Suspension help? - Preload

Let me take you for a 50 mile ride on the back of my S1K and you will soon understand that you are abusing your girlfriend and . . . . . 20KGs of luggage too? You seriously need to look at a more suitable bike BUT if you're serious 1. Measure both front and back rider sag with you on the bike...

    rad guard or not

I enquired about a rad guard when I bought my 2015 and was told BMW don't recommend them because of possible issues with overheating. By the time I arrived home after the 20 miles from collecting the bike in Peterborough, I had a significant ding in the radiator. I managed to straighten out the...
