    BMW update problems!

The indicator auto cancel feature can also be disabled if you know someone who has a GS-911 ;) Also +1 for hazards and full beam for filtering inside the M25 :victorious:

Winter Maintenance - battery leads and paint

I like that this DC charger covers both lead acid and lithium batteries :)

    Pressure Washers.

    Edit: Einhell TC-HP 1334 Only ?50 @ Wickes at the moment! ;)

    Standard front caliper piston size

This is my experience as well, hence the incentive to try the titanium pistons... however... if the problem presents far more frequently when they are cold fitting titanium pistons might just make the problem worse! How about those who have fitted the M4 / M50 calipers? Same issue or problem...

    Pressure Washers.

Bought this as a cheapo option (got a few of their power tools which are all decent). Does the job, pressure is fine. Power is not too extreme so not worried about water getting into bearings etc.

    Worst biking moments

11.11.2016 **shudder** Was riding My CBR1200XX north on the North Circular A406 from the Chiswick roundabout. Stopped at the next set of lights... all good. Got to pole position and took off sedately .... about 300 yards up the A406 narrows from 2 lanes to 1 and there is a place for oncoming...

    Standard front caliper piston size

Thanks Alex :tears_of_joy: 34mm... Was thinking of maybe upgrading the MC too (lurking in the VRC thread awaiting more details :Banane19:)...

But But But... Titanium pistons!!!! ;) Ok cool... when I eventually get some downtime I will strip them and give them a clean :)

    Standard front caliper piston size

Hi all :) Does anyone know what dimensions the stock front caliper pistons are (2009-2018). I'm getting pretty sick of mine locking up in winter so was looking at trying out some titanium pistons to see if that helps ;)

Winter Maintenance - battery leads and paint

As a couple of others have mentioned I ran an extension from the battery terminals through to underneath the pillion seat for easy charging access... recommended. Hmmmm.... it looks like your BMW charger does not have the accessory required to do the same.... therefore i'd recommend selling it...

    Radiator upgrade

I fitted a chinese ebay rad to my gen 2 as the original looked done after lots of winter miles and not much cleaning. The welding looked decent and no fitting issues. Fitted silicone hoses at the same time. Temps after the refit were pretty much identical so if I had to do it again i'd...

    Holy Huggers Batman!

I've had this one fitted for 2 years with zero issues.. good quality and works great :) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Carbon-Fiber-Front-Fender-Rear-Hugger-Mudguard-BMW-S-1000-RR-2009-2018/124069453431?hash=item1ce31d9e77:g:QgEAAOSwDEBcGD4Q (they do the hugger with and without the hole - so make...

Stalling - Me or the bike?

NO! :D Mine had intermittent bogging down below 4k rpm which I eventually diagnosed as a faulty coilpack / spark plug cap. The insulation was split so it was shorting to the head. Symptoms were basically running on 3 cylinders below 4k rpm and mostly fine over 4k rpm... This did not throw a...

Do S1000rr Gen 1 forks fit Gen 2?

Yes they will fit just fine.... the valving is slightly different between gen 1 and 2 but barely noticeable. K-tech internals would be a big upgrade... I've got DDS internals in mine and love the results :)

Stalling - Me or the bike?

Just to chip in on the side stand issue - mine was loose when I swapped engines recently - so definitely worth checking...
