Praise for the D3 Tail Tidy...

I've had a D3 tail tidy on my S1000RR and now my S1000R, both an excellent fit and really good quality. On top of all that Daz is a nice helpful bloke. Allan

    Temp Paddock Stand

If by chain maintenance you mean chain adjustment, that should be done with the bike on it's side stand. If you mean chain cleaning or something else, I'll get my coat and shut up... Allan

    Moto GP tickets

I have, many times and never had any problems. It's run by Steve Millard (ex racer) who does enjoy a chat when all you want it to get tickets organised :-) I gave Assen a miss last year as I've been over a dozen times but I did miss it and might give it another go this year. Make sure you go...

    S1000rr two stroke?

I've done 7k on my 2012 and used around 1.5ltr. I do find it uses more on a track day or thrashing round Europe than to does traveling to work but that's hardly surprising. I used to have Fireblade's so I don't think the oil consumption is that bad. I also had a Blackbird for 5 years and a...

    S1K Commuter Bike

I’ve had my S1K since March 2012 (2012 model year) and find that more and more I use my 1200VFR touring bike to commute to work. I was always happy commuting on my previous Fireblade’s but the S1K just seems to “vicious” and too much effort to commute on. My journey to work is only 17 miles...

    Fitting Ventura rack system

Hi, I've done a couple of thousand miles with mine fitted, fully loaded, without any issues. I place the rack forward, over the pillion seat, so the bag sits on that. All the weight is on the brackets but it all seems fine. The one thing I would mention is that the bags are not waterproof...

    Moto GP assen this year

I've done that trip many, many times. Sunday traffic is not too bad and the Antwerp ring road will not slow you down that much on a Sunday. If you allow 5 1/2 to 6 hours total time you will be ok. Eurotunnel tickets are valid for 2 hours before and 2 hours after the booked slot. You will only...

    Ready for the weekend

I'm certainly a convert. It does make a bit of a mess on the drive and the wheels still need a wipe with a cloth but it's the dogs danglies for washing the bike. Allan

    Post crash advice wanted

Moz/p-trax, DVD's in the post today, enjoy. Moz, You are going to need additional software to run this on your Mac. I use Fusion which is software that allows you to run another operating system on a Mac. I run Windows 7 to access the DVD and some other windows only software I use. If you...

    Post crash advice wanted

p-trax, I have the DVD (bought from eBay for a few quid) and also only have Mac hardware at home. I think there is some windows only software to navigate the DVD. Just instal Fusion on your Mac if you need to run windows software. PM if you need more details. Allan

    Ready for the weekend

That makes sense. Luckily I have loads of wax on mine, even the wheels, which makes them (slightly) easier to clean. Hopefully the foam and lance will arrive before the weekend. Allan
