Yes I am being offered several bikes and my question isn?t a general one about race bike prep. I was wondering if there is anything specific to the 2018 S1000RR that I should know. I know nothing about the S1000RR and I?m trying to avoid discovering quirks or downsides only after I?ve bought one.

For gearing theory I find the https://www.gearingcommander.com/ site is great for choosing a sprocket combination that doesn?t change the chain length. I will always gear to hit the rev limiter in 6th at the end of the longest straight on the track.

You mean swingarm length, not wheelbase. Unless you?re riding a mini-Moto :peaceful:

Oh I forgot to mention... I?m not completely new to BMW though. In 2013 I had a HP4 Carbon for the road but didn?t use it enough to really appreciate it. Before that I had a GS for 4 years and rode it all over Europe, I called it my 2 wheeled Range Rover :biggrin-new:
