D3 Tail Tidy - Plate SIze

I've just ordered a std tail tidy from D3 and wondered what plate size will be best on it. I don't want a tiny plate getting unwanted attention so I will go for as legal a "look alike" as I can. Is an 8x6 going to fit or does it need to be a 7x5? I would like a euro badge on the plate, not sure if that makes a difference.

Tail tidy and race hooks (for ferry and trailer) arrive tomorrow so I need to get a plate ordered soon. What have you lot gone for?

awg.......wot do you mean by racehooks then?
I've seen these triangular ally brackets that fit where the rear footpegs should go - is that what you mean?

The only ones i've seen though come from US.

I have the D3with 8x6 and also have their hooks/rear peg replacement

The race hooks replace the rear foot pegs but still allow the bike to be tied down on a ferry or trailer. Have a look here.

8x6 is the largest plate you will fit to the D3 tail tidy and you should not get any unwanted attention from the dibbels

I went for 7x5 1/2 and I've had no problems, so far, with the police.

hi, i fittedan 8 x 6, and had no problems from dibble.

I went for a 7 1/2 x 6 as the max width for the extreme was 8 so I thought I'd go slightly smaller.
eBay show plate design your own special for 9 quid.
