Hi what air filter should I use original filter or a k&n filter or something else, is the s1000rr filter the same as the hp4 thanks for any input.

If it were me Tommy I'd stick with stock filter. Yes a couple of HP at 13000 rpm to be gained. By their very nature they allow more air through along with extra unwanted particulates. Anyway ain't 196 ponies enough?

To back up what Marzy said - HM Racing confirmed they don't advise a filter change, no real gains.

Unfortunately they told me after I'd bought one - lol - not through them I should add.

If its the 2nd gen bike (dont know about the new ones) then it is the same filter.

Ditto what the others say about sticking with the oe.

OEM Air Filter

The OEM air filter is extremely good and replacements are reasonably priced.

I have a lifetime K&N in both my bikes, don't feel any difference but I put them in for zero maintenance.
