Is it just me or do do HP/Gillesfootrests appear to shed their insert plugs on a regular basis? At Cadwell on Monday a fellow forum member noticed my LHS plug had liberated itself; after returning home to the Cotswolds the RHS had managed to escape as well. Is there a cure/alternative solution? I think I will try some silicon when re-fitting...
Initially I thought the OEM replavcements were reasonable at ?2.67+VAT( ?3.25) a pop but then on picking one up I realised these are not aluminium at all but just plastic! Unless I can find an alternative source next time they go awol I will be living without them; bloody expensive bits of plastic!
