puig db screens, tried lots over the years and these are by far one of the best for fit and quality..... ;D

tail tidys d3 components exellent quality and fit with the added body coloured base plate that make the under side of the panel flush, tried loads over the years and are the best.....

levers hp or asv's when ever the asv's are avaliable, loads of adjustment and great feel and very well made....

R+g rad and oil guards are a must nicer ones out there in all colours but usually got to get them from the states and work out alot more expensive....

r+g seat subframe covers, simple to fit look exellent and look very cool once passenger pegs are taken off

k tech suspension abit cheaper than ohlins and are just as good if not the rear k tech shock is alot better for real road riding although ohlins have that bling bling effect

swing arm cotton reels for your paddock stand, the billet ones on ebay are exellent quality look awsome and dont get messed up like the r+g ones, avoid the r+g ones as they are CRAP.!!!! and will look nasty after a few lifts with your rear paddock stand.... i've used these now for a few years http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-S1000RR-PADDOCK-STAND-CRASH-BOBBINS-/330673157644?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item4cfda7f60c but please remember if you keep these fitted all the time then use the crash spindle protectors all the time as ive seen many a bike with the cotton reels either snapped off in the swing arm or the cotton reels have snaped the threads tab off the swing arm.!!!

watsen design turn signal are a must to smooth out the look of your bike, stunning fit and finish and a very very bright, best mod on my bike far as im concerned

gel seats are a must if riding for long hours like i do,im saving for a decent one

second skin kits also a must on the nose cone and front mud gaurd and lower fairings, also fitted on the under tail of the seat section also as the amount of crap that comes through and over the rear stock hugger is redonkulus..!!!!

DID 525 race chains gold series, put 28k on one of these chains and it still had another 20k left in it...awsome

super sprox coloured rear sprockets also a bling thing but weigh less than stock and they last a life time,28k on my last one and it still looked like new.....

Renthal grip super soft and cheap as chips, alot better than the hard stock grips

exhausts,im a yoshi fan but austin racing inconel system is one of the best looking out there, another thing im saving for

power commader also a must soon as you swap exhausts had most on the pc products and am still loving their stuff

filter choice had a few over the years but i always end up with the k+n race filters or bmc race filters, well made last for ever and the older they get the better they work, used to oil mine once a year when i could be bothered if i didnt quick blow through with the air line and slotted straight back in....

rearsets....bmw hp ones are as brittle as fook and look good thats about it any good brand rear sets (gilles are my preferred choice) are better than the bmw hp one's.....lol...they made by my favorite rearset company (gilles) but for some reason they are no good in strenght and parts and bmw dont sell the seperate bits for them..??? where as the company that make the rearsets sell every part for their own branded rear sets....

wheels simple choice bst's they do exactly what they say on the tin .....brilliant,rode a few bike with them fitted and you can tell the difference in the bike

big fan of galfer discs used them for years and they been exellent if they make them for the s1000r then ill be getting them

little odd one here but brake fluid,i always use motor cross brake fluid in all the bikes i've owned more expensive the mx fluid the better as mx bike are hard on the brakes and you use the brakes all the time on the mx bike

steering dampers............ohlins love the look and so easy to dial in.... 8)

pro mach chain adjusters pure class and very very well made, dont know if they make them for the s1000rr but the guy who does make them should and he's a top bloke and with enough enquireis he might lolas they are pure bike porn and rizla suzuki use them on their gp bikes....

ceramic wheel bearing also a must have to go with the bst wheels....

GB racing engine covers........exellent fit and look like they were supposed to be on the bike from the factory.!!!! shame they dont make crash bungs

r+g crash bungs in white look awsome on the motorsport but in a crash they can do more damage to the frame, only ones ive ever bought so far wood craft also supposed to be good aswell...

headlight guards are a must cheap ones on ebay do the job as it onlt take one stone to screw your healight up..!!!!

last bit now is a little cracker,my exhaust shield bought from germany (tec bike) cat cover i got it from germany but its brill, simple to fit and blends in well with lower black fairing, stayed looking good after first bike crash not fitted on the new one...

r+g front spindle/rear spindle crash protectors simple and effective and work ok

one more thing, metal air valves as i had a few cases where the stock rubber ones start tilting and then split at the base of them....go for metal valves instead of the rubber ones on high bhp bikes aswell.....

alarm wise i dont bother as if they want your bike they will take it no matter wat alarm is fitted, best bet bigger the chain the better or like me,3 foot of rail concreted in to the floor with a inch thick boat chain and a big fook off pad lock and a 4 and a half stone english bull terrier and a big nasty owner who will kill them dead...lol

paddock stands,,,,,,,,,,harris racing ones are exellent well built very light and very stable, also the abba stand is exellent aswell but i prefer the harris paddock stands ober anything...

inforad speed camera detectors i got the hard wired one and the usb type one i use in my crash helmet these are exellent and work very very well...... http://www.gpsinforad.co.uk/ i got the k1/k2 and the inforad bike gps one which is hardwired in to the bike........... 8) 8) 8)

this is my opinion only you may think differently so post up your must have's and why and ive tried and tested all of these brands over the years.......taaa

love the dymags but the bst's just ooze quality and look the dogs bollox and anyone who has fitted them can tell straight away the difference...lol

That is one hell of a shopping list. Got any pics of the Watsen indicators Buzz? GB are doing crash bungs as well now.

nice for letting me know ill have to take alook at the gb racing ones,

http://www.watsendesign.com/BMW_Products/IMG_4676.jpg got the universal ones on the rear under side like in the pic and these http://www.watsendesign.com/BMW_Products/IMG_4658.jpg in the front fairing, colour match is spot on and they are billett ali aswell and very very bright....no lamp errors and i just stripped down the stock indicators and added spade connectors to the watsen design wiring and just connected them to the stock wiring and heat shrunk them so i didnt have to cut the loom at all, just male to female as on the stock wiring.... lots of the yanks cut their looms and there was no need to lol just add male/female spade connectors to the watsen wiring lol yank site has a how to to fit on the rear section, just have to drill a extra hole on the under side tail peice, the watsen ones just attch to stock screw point on rear, extra hole is for the wires and the indicator hides the extra hole once fitted,i bought a spare used under tail off ebay for about 30 quid delivered froma bike breaker...have seen them fitted to the black plastic battery box aswell and they look good....

theres a load of threads on them on the yank sight....heres one of the threads

Have you not seen those MFR wheels, quality is amazing. Marchesini's new company.

Gilles crash bungs look a million miles better than the R&G ones.

Gee thanks... like I've not already got a long enough shopping list for the BB when it arrives!

Seriously though, thank you. I'll have a proper look through later but I do love those indicators.

Am I the only person who has changed handlebars then.
You must all be youngsters

I've stuck risers on both my previous ZZRs which are meant to be sports tourers. Really don't feel the need or have the cricked neck on the S. Is it the sheer terror taking my mind off the discomfort.

You guys got any advice on tank protectors/pads, mainly for the m sport colours!
Looking for something for mine that isnt too 'in your face'!!

Also, anyone use and recommend stomp grips?? Something else I've thought about for better control.

I just use the tankpad that came with the bike. Dont really like those stomp grip things as i reckon they look naff.

StOmP grip will change your ridIng style for the better , if you ride hard you'll love it

I have the techspec snakeskins

tech spec is very good stuff i found with the stomp grip it can wear your suit out,the stock tank pad is good enough....
