What tools do I need?

Topics coming thick & fast now the day of the new bike is looming.

What tools do I need to work on the S1000RR - torx or torx plus & is this sockets as well?

What sizes do they go too?

The majority of bolts / fixings are torx, there is however the odd socket, like the brake callipers, for example

That's good if I don't have to pay exortionate money for Torx+.

I'll get myself a torx kit. Got everything else I think.

Most of the bolts/nuts are just 12 point sockets.

Not sure what 12 point sockets are? Does that mean they're not torx, my standard sockets certainly won't fit 12 point things.

they are the oldie worldie ones instead of the hex heads , and he is right , they work a treat on header bolts etc......
Also go to aldi and get the torx handles ( one bit at each end)
£20 and work ok
I did splash out on a proper T25 & T40 though
