Hi Guys,

What is the best rear hugger for the S1000RR? I have a 2012 S1K and the standard hugger doesn't seem to do much really as far as protection is concerned.

So wondering what are the best options for potential upgrades?

Thanks in advance.

the longest one I came across was the powerbronze one al the other just seam to carbon copies of the standard one

Isn't the hole there for when the shock compresses and it leaves room for the battery box though

Allegedly it is , but I think it might be a load of bollox that :)

Ditto, I think you'd need to be jumping the bike to make it move that far and make contact! :D

You mean you haven't yet? The TC goes mental & splutters a bit when you land till it catches up! ;) there's a few hump backed bridges round here that work well!

Any stock looking hugger with out the hole in it would be best imo,the amount of crap getting thrown up through the hole in the stock one is annoying !!!

Hi Lads,

I have recently setup a company specialising in BMW carbon products as we have all the equipment for making autoclave prepreg components and we are composite engineers by trade. "The carbon web" is our company name and our Ecommerce website goes live this week. We are starting to do the huggers with the holes left filled in because we have had alot of emails requests as alot of folk have concerns with the OEM cutout huggers.. They are OEM size etc but we can offer them with built in chain guards also.

We are the official sponsor for this site now, so keep an eye out and we will start uploading pictures etc. I have attached one picture of our hugger to show quality etc but this one has hole cut out.

Any feedback would be great folks!

Hi we do pretty much all the parts from heel plates - full road and race carbon kits. These huggers with the built in chain guards are around £115. Can do group buys of 5 for £110 as i can utilise the autoclave time

Hope that helps

cheers

Hi mate, well if you look at my other post im offering the first 5 at £105 if 5 people get together to order. I have 1 already so if you put your name down il get you on that bandwagon also. Its easier to make a small batch..

il put you down for that if you like... save a few pennies! :)

cheers
