Fitting my race fairings, nose cone fits without the centre section (vertical grill) got me thinking of the probs i might have having it open? Grills there for a reason, presumably for larger crap, but what about the water (ie a downpour) that must ram itself in there? You guys that have race filters, are they not more free flowing (less restriction) and does that not affect the running? Just a thought........... ???
 
As I recall the grills were to smooth the airflow entering the intake. :)
