OK I warned you, time for the stupid questions. I've got an Oxford smart charger which I use over winter. I took the spade style connecters off the battery on my Blade before selling it and want to fit them to the S Thou to connect the charger.
If i disconnect the battery terminals to connect them, will it affect the bikes immobiliser, set the alarm off etc.
Also do I turn the alarm off prior to doing it by turning the ignition on or can I do it with the alarm on and ignition off?
i told you it was stupid question time :-[

Hi

I've just fitted a optimate 5 with no probs at all
I have the factory alarm on mine and never went off
but not sure what alarm you have just make sure the ignition and alarm
are off and connect the battery charger leads

Cheers

Gordo

Cheers mate, its the factory fitted BMW alarm that's fitted. I'll give it a bash ;)

I did it a couple of weeks ago (funny that also took it from a Blade) I managed to do it without taking the connections off so no loss of power.
