No bike heat would affect intake temp.

I can log the intake temperature with my telemetry and I can confirm that it can be affected from the bike's temperature when the bike is stopped. When the bike is moving the temperature is the same as the ambient temperature. If your gas tank is better isolated from temperature then it is way more accurate even when the bike is stop for a while.
